    Are You Really that stupid?
You would have to be r****ded to ever trade Chandler Parsons over Omer Asik. First off what is the point of drafting and developing a guy just to dump him?

2nd of all lets compare Parsons and Asik

Parsons-better offensive arsenal that includes being a great three point shooter and with our style is number one priority, younger therefore more upside, has increased every aspect of his game except defense in his second year that includes seeming to be much more athletic imo (defense getting a little worse might be because of our game style and his insane minutes)

Asik- better defender. boom that's it.

bottom line- It is much rarer to get in this league a guy who can create his own shot than a guy who can clog the paint on defense. asik is just a taller chuck Hayes

ps. I love Asik non the less as well as chuck hayes. that guy was the definition of a hard worker

Nah, I think the ABJs (Lin haters) are fun.

They must have so much pent up energy after all this Dwight talk over the last 6 weeks + they are getting desperate as this is the last chance for them to wish for Lin's trade. They will be stuck with Lin for the next two years the way his contract is structured.

Trolling the trolls is easy and fun, try it. Just remember to pace yourself because we are likely to enjoy this for two more years!

This could all just be a smokescreen from the source to lower Lin's value around the league because he wants Lin for himself. If other GM's hear that Lin's value is dropping, they might offer the Rockets less for Lin, and that team would have a better chance at acquiring him. They might just be using Deeks as a pawn.

LOL, this is going eventually surface to the main press. I am not going to post anymore in regards to this, if they don't want him .
Best to sit and wait, maybe the whole thing is fantasy/nightmare whatever you call it.

    Worst case situation:
Perhaps this had been the plan all along. I thought Lin coming here would be a good enivroment for him to grow and develop, but I guess it's ALMOST certain and over.

The worst that could happen now is that he is NOT traded and they continue to misuse him.

    I HOPE it's like that.

I would argue he has grown and developed, especially his shooting. He seems to like his teammates and coaches too, so seems to be a good environment as well.

Misuse? Isn't it up to his employer to use him how they see fit? They want him to be able to shoot and he has made great strides in improving in that area. He isn't misused. He's payed handsomely to do what the coaches want.

That's right and it's good he understands that and doesn't complain.

You have to fit the team's system.

He was lucky in NY that the system fitted him.

I hope Jeremy isn't going anywhere. Jeremy is only in his 3rd year in NBA.

How bad was Marc Gasol when he was in his first few years in the NBA.

Everybody expects a immediate result but the reality is player development is underrated.

Ok. A point guard who can potentially score 30+ points against a team like spurs and lakers and has proven that he can score 15-20+ points on games consecutively is not awesome enough than the point guard guy who can be on the floor for 20-30 minutes with 0 assists and cannot even score more than 15-20 points on any games consecutively, whose claim to fame is injuring westbrook...

Yap.. Bev is awesome... And I'm the Dark Knight...

big men tend to develop slower than guards.

I can go on and on though. When we think of a player, we think how good or how bad he is. But reality is that nothing stays the same and player can become a different one in several years with right coaching and opportunity.

Player development is way underrated in NBA, way underrated!

I think Lin will continue to improve.

13/6/3 coming off knee surgery in what was almost (but not quite) his first season in the NBA isn't bad. He was asked to play in a completely different role and had to adjust over the course of the season. He's very bright, great personality, works hard and is really intent on improving his outside shooting.

I think he will get better. 16/8/4 with ~.380+ from 3 is realistic for next year and would make him a quality starter in this league.

I can definitely tell that Fair Dinkum is back. He has 60 posts in the last 24 hours alone.

I'm not against getting rid of Lin but I would like him to come off the bench and take over from Harden when he goes to the bench.

Beverley works better with Harden and Lin would do well running the bench brigade. It will give him a defined role and provide a spark off the bench.

Actually, I'm warming to the idea of Lin coming off the bench and being the spark. But Harden only sits 8 mins a game and we're paying Lin to play a lot more than that.

On the other hand, Lin strikes me as a player that needs major minutes on the floor because he kind of feels the game and adjusts accordingly. He's not really a go full-speed off the bench player.

btw. Here's a test to see if you're a true Aussie...
What does "fair dinkum" mean in Aussie slang?

LOL I hope you're not serious. You really believe one mans tweet could lower Lins value around the league, influencing the minds of GMs? Come on now. That's insulting.
