He plays PG/SG/SF. Moving Holiday the Sixers will definately want to have a closer look at what he can do at PG. The Rockets tried to trade for him a couple years back to play PG.

Turner played a lot at small forward when he was a rookie though also.

2nd round pick. Third option PG or cut before opening night.

Morey always wants a 3rd string pg, lin might be gone, but this pick has nothing to do with it.

Philly is getting Nerlen Noels and also getting the Pelican's 2014 pick (top 3 protected). The fact that the Pelicans are giving up their 2014 1st round draft pick with only top 3 protection means they're not tanking next year.

The Pelicans got Anthony Davis, so the clock is ticking. When you get a #1 overall pick, you need to start winning so that the guy you want to build around will stay when the rookie contract runs out. That's the same situation the Wiz have with Wall, and the Cavs have with Kyrie Irving just like they had with Lebron.

That's why the Pelicans went after Holiday to pair with Anthony Davis. They probably believe that Holiday gives them a better chance to win than Vasquez. They can either keep Vasquez as a backup or trade him out for value as a good player on a cheap contract, to get more spare parts to start building a winning team around Anthony Davis.

All these small market teams with number 1 overall picks need to win, or they lose the player like how Lebron left Cleveland. Wiz did that last year when they tried to switch away from tanking by trading for vets instead of rebuilding with young guys. Cavs are looking to do that with Kyrie Irving soon. Pelicans are switching away from tanking with the acquisition of Holiday to help Davis.

No success means losing Lebron from the Cavs, or like how Kevin Love (not a number 1 pick, but same principle) started grumblings of leaving the T-Wolves. The clock is ticking for the Pelicans with Anthony Davis. Before they know it, the rookie contract will be up and it takes awhile to go from tanking to contender. The sooner you switch, the faster you get there before the rookie contract runs out and the star you tanked for decides to leave.

Stupid Morey and Rockets. Paid poison bill to get Lin here and now wants to move him? That'll be a stupid and laughable joke in the NBA history. All world will laugh at Rockets again. Why not dump Asik for Howard? Rox doesn't need 2 centers. Asik is too expensive for back up. Without Lin, who cares about Rockets any more? Who cares Harden? Maybe Howard jealousy of lin and wanted him away so he can get more attention. That's the only reason I can see why they want to move Lin.
