I agree REEK but maybe the ridiculous Blazer series would have a diff ending had this come to fruition. I'm just looking at the big picture and setting my butt hurt aside. With that said, **** Cuban.

I'm almost glad the series went the way it is. It was a kick in the nuts a team like this needs to get it's **** straight.

Not sure I'd be so quick to judge. The Yahoo article conveniently ignores what the FBI agent actually has said about what he told Cuban and his thoughts on the Donaghy investigation (which HE conducted for the NBA)...

It's not always as simple as you'd think...

Man I hope it changes our team, that outcome dam sure won't change the ridiculous NBA though. That's the big problem I'm talking about.

    I actually respect Mark Cuban.

When Clay Bennett was robbing Seattle of their team, he was the only one who voted against allowing the team to move.

saleem is right. Not that Dirk necessarily needed Chandler but as great a scorer as he is, he's always needed a lot of help on the boards and interior defense. There's no way that team was going to win a ring without a Chandler-type center next to Dirk. He's not a do-it-all type star that you can move around to different positions to cover for holes in the team's roster, Dirk needs good role players all over the court. In fact, they tried the big 3 thing there and it failed for this very reason.

I know some people don't like First Take but they had some interesting things to say WITHOUT throwing themselves under the bus. Read between the lines.

I agree but it allowed Dirk to do his thing. All teams should build around what their star does best. It doesn't take away from his performance. I gotta give him credit for that. Dammit you just reminded me of why we didn't pick an roll more with Howard:mad:

    this makes no sense.

Guess what NO player can do it on their own no matter how many things they can do on the court. Every team needs that to win a championship so no saleem is not right....Lelayup is about a complete player as there is and he couldnt get it done year after year after year till he joined players who could fill voids.

What Dirk did in 2011 was special and he is FAR from overrated...i will agree that chandler was a big part of them winning it all but so was everyone else..Terry was HUGE off the bench heck even a washed up peja contributed.

but Dirk stood out plain and simple

This was actually my point. Lebron is very versatile, If he plays with two other all stars he'll continue to be in championship contention. The heat can just move around various small salaried parts as time goes on. Dirk had 2 all stars earlier in his career but he won a championship with a more balanced attack.

The way Dirk won isn't more special, it's just different. In fact, he needed to have a team constructed that way to win.

A lot goes on behind closed doors, a lot more than we think and it would've been awesome if Cuban had gone through with it but he knows his involvement in the 2005 Yao treatment and probably other stuff would've come out. I wouldn't be surprised if there's parties behind the scenes paying big bucks for certain series to be steered / called a certain way, payments are made under the table and side deals with agents are made to get a player to sign and such, the lottery at least to be somewhat influenced etc.

Not only is the NBA rigged, but I believe a few of the elite players COOPERATE with the rigging as well. I won't say names because some of you have emotional attachments to certain players. But if you watch the playoffs carefully, ESPECIALLY the Miami/San Antonio series last year, you'd notice certain players just carelessly throwing the ball away or obviously passing up open shots (Manu Ginobli).

And I'm guessing he was perfectly ok with the Rockets-Mavs series from the season before?

What has Carmelo Anthony managed to do with Tyson Chandler?
