What people don't seem to realize is that if Broussard is acting as a journalist for ESPN, unless those family members want him to do so, he not only doesn't have to release their names, but he shouldn't. This is ESPNs problem now, not Broussard's.
cannot give up anonymous sources which is why they should never be used especially for something trivial like sports. now we have to trust brousard completely that he is being ethical. i don't so everything he reports has to be ignored.
Without doubt Broussard is an idiot - but he might actually be right? Cuban wanted Broussard to tweet out Jordan's address so that he could go visit him. Cuban wanted Broussard to provide proof of the change of mind so he can use it as evidence to sue. Oh wait, did Broussard really say 'multiple sources' in his tweet? Nothing to see here, move it along.
His bosses need to verify it and put their name behind it or fire him. He's either working for them or he isn't. Such a public figure can't hide behind a private Twitter account (if that's what he was posting from). He is associated with ESPN 24/7. They need to verify his information and either publicly stand behind him or disassociate themselves if they have any integrity. Otherwise, we shouldn't believe anything from any of their employees.
Yes, Cuban has the phone number of DeAndre's Aunt's 2nd cousin's husband's mother-in-law who happens to know how Cuban is spending his time but not the address of the guy he's actually signing $81 million over to.
I like the fact that Cuban called out Broussard...by name. Yes, it gives him some attention, but it also takes away his credibility and makes it much less likely anyone will believe him going forward. I hate all the fake reporters trying to stir up a story behind unnamed sources. When people put out lies, they need to be called out.
Cuban is proxy attacking ESPN. So as mentioned earlier, ESPN should vet Broussard's anon sources and release a statement in support if they check out. If they vet his anon sources and they don't check out he should be fired.
100% agreed. But ESPN doesn't care. If they did, Brousauce would've been out of a job a loooooooooooooooong time ago. Sauces = clicks.

Unfortunately ESPN never holds its employees accountable, something which is ridiculous consodiring they charge money for being an "insider" Remember when Chad Ford got caught alering his past mock drafts so people will think he was amazing? Ford didn't even have to acknowledge it or apologize. On the other hand Simmons got suspended for voicing out his opinion. But when it comes violations of integrity? BSPN is totally hands off.
On ESPN radio in Los Angeles today, I heard a little about this. They read Cuban's tweet about 100K to the charity of Broussard's choice if Broussard could provide proof. They were claiming that was game, set, and match to Cuban. So even on the ESPN station here in LA they were calling out Broussard.
Just had an epiphany reading this post. Hate Broussard 100%. But why did Cuban stop at 100K? He got fined 500K by the NBA once for ****s sake. Why didn't he offer a mil? Or even more if he 100% knows it's fake? Is this just high stakes poker to get Brousauce to reveal his sauces?
Perhaps but it seems like that's enough reason for Broussard to provide proof. I wouldn't think one million or 500,000 would get him to reveal but 100K wouldn't. Of course I don't know, I'm only guessing.
