there are some players who probably wouldn't have made it into what it is, but k-mart, he is a thug. why would you pick the one of the few players in the league who isn't going to take **** from anyone? and why is k-mart offended, i mean he is a thug, he knows it, he acts like it, he is a thug. and so is ron, but they play with heart and passion, and they back it up too. i see nothing wrong with that and would love k-mart on the rockets.
Playing hard and acting 'tough' on the court does not equate to being a thug. Neither K-Mart nor Ron are 'thugs'. They are guys who like to act 'hood' and 'keep it real' and have a certain image of themselves and like to live up to that image, it is the product they are selling or at least trying to sell. The only guy who may qualify as a thug on that Denver squad is probably JR Smith. The rest are just a bunch of guys with lots of tattoos and little credibility.
Kmart is definitely a thug in the sense of the word in 2009. Maybe in 20 years or even 10 years ago he wouldn't be, but in this day and age "acting tough" constitutes having the thug image. Whether or not he's actually going out and knocking people out is not the question nowadays. Sadly, the image of being a thug is embraced by people and glamourized. In the old sense of the word, no one in the NBA is a thug because they're not going out beating people up.

First of all all of those folks posting here that Kmart's mom somehow deserved to be yelled at by Mark Cuban because Denver was physically eating the Mavs collective lunch are pinheads. At NO time is it permissible or acceptable for a team owner to verbally insult the mother of an opposing player. Had the verbal and physical abuse (beer thrown on them, ice and spit) happened to Yao's parents at a game, this very board would have exploded with righteous rage. Living in Dallas, I have heard some of the most ignorant and dumba$$ comments I have ever heard coming from the so-called MFFLs and that's saying something because I'm subjected to their stupidity on a daily basis. Mark Cuban has finally shown himself to be the punk a$$ b**** that he always was. His team is down 3-1 in this series as a direct result of his past actions and decisions. So instead of trying to shift the blame on Martin for his team's numerous shortcomings, he should have been yelling at the dumba$$ in his mirror because HE is the person most responsible for the current Mavericks' shortcomings. HE was the dumba$$ who has put together a finesse basketball team of jumpshooters with no real inside presence not K-Mart. HE went out and signed that big zero Dampier to a 10 year $70 million contract. HE went out and made that stupid trade for Jason Kidd. HE is the one who scapegoated Avery Johnson when AJ told him that the team needed to get more athletic and younger and defensive. No this team is EXACTLY the team he wanted. So now when this team - HIS team is exposed as not good enough, instead of being a man and dealing with it, he instead acts like a cowardly whinny b*tch and verbally insults a 60-something year old woman. Yeah, that's how a man behaves. Oh let us not forget his "apology" which would not have been issued had the Mavericks lost game 4. I cannot imagine anything that would infuriate the Denver players more and I would not be surprised if they were to come out tonight and blow the Mavs out by 40 points. I wonder which senior citizen Cuban will blame for that happening?
He doesn't even qualify. How many "Thugs" in the real sense of the word come from solid two parent homes where they are basically spoiled rotten? JR Smith is the definition of a spoiled child even though his family wasn't exactly upper class. Plus he's just an idiot that shouldnt even be playing basketball today really.
What gets me is that most of Dallas appears to believe Melo's girl Lala is lying about her experience at the game and if racist and violent threats were sent her way. Maybe she's lying but I wouldnt be surprised if such bile was sent her way when you have fans in just about every arena that show up and get buzzed and then don't know how to act right. Plus, Cuban's BS about how he understands what its like to have abuse thrown his way because he experiences it in just about every arena he goes through has ZERO bearing. It's to be expected that when an owner that likes the spotlight a la Cuban and Jerry Jones decides to sit in the front two rows of the court instead of sitting in his owners suite then yes the odds are quite high that some of the opposing fans that don't know how to act right will send some lovely words his way. The behavior of fans on both sides(and I fully expect Denver fans to reciprocate the silly behavior the Mavs fans showed Nuggets wags) has been very distasteful imho.

I felt Cuban's comments on Wal-Mart's daughter were completely uncalled for - but you won't hear that story in the liberal media.
I have to agree K-Mart has been a thug on basketball court. He may not be one in his personal life for which I don't know. Why K-Mart is a thug on basketball court? K-Mart has been always using intimidation tactics on the basketball court, delivering unnecessary and excessive actions in his so-called "hard" fouls, which are sometimes borderline attempts to injure his opponents. Proof: U guys can revisit how the Thug-gets played against the Spurs in their previous 2 playoffs series especially the 2005 series.
Wow it was that bad. Its a shame how this dude is like 50 something but still acts like a kid dude need to really grow up.
