Looking at the tape from the TNT crew, the mom was sitting next to the tunnel with her husband, not even eyeing Mark Cuban. She looked content, so it could've been smugness or arrogance or it could've been appreciation for her son's play. As Cuban walked into the tunnel, he pointed at her and said something. Words were exchanged but I couldn't tell if it was both ways. It might've been something she said earlier. Regardless, Cuban was fuming and lashing out at anyone. Kenyon's mom didn't look angry or aggressive towards Cuban at all, moreso minding her own business. Personally, I think it's inexcusable for what Cuban did. He should've kept his composure.
Didn't I say Cuban shouldn't have responded? I just don't choose to totally absolve Martin's mother. Neither party is in the right. I know my mother has enough class not to instigate something.
I called whose mother a thug? I don't get it. That loving mother of Martin was talking TRASH to Cuban. Cuban told her that her son is a thug. According to you, the mother showed braveness but Cuban showed cowardice? Please enlighten me on that.
Originally they (or at least one article I read) were saying Kenyon's mom was jawing at Cuban. If that didn't happen and Cuban just went up to her talking trash, that's just dumb on Cuban's part. If she was jawing back and forth, then I'm sorry - but if she's going to talk trash, expect it back. I don't know if this has been posted, but : http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...t=AvPgO2jOqBifeE9_E8OmcJ68vLYF?urn=nba,162648 ------------------------------ Update No. 2: I either fell asleep for two minutes or TNT didn't air this, but Art Garcia of the NBA.com Playoff Blog reports Martin came to the defense of his mother, Lydia, who is sitting about six rows up near the Denver end, while officials were reviewing a play in the second quarter. Apparently, K-Mart unleashed hell at the Dallas fans sitting around her: "You [expletive] better cut the [expletive]," he shouted, as team personnel tried to pull him back to the huddle. "You’re going to get [expletive] up." Martin then said to his mother: "Somebody do something to you, you better tell me. I’m going to [expletive] somebody up." Security came to the area to speak with Martin's mom, but she remained in her seat. Yikes. ------------------------------------------ TNT is apparently reporting people were ejected from the game for throwing stuff at Kenyon's GF and relatives (?), as well.
Wait didn't the beloved star of his team have his soon to be baby mama with 7 identities arrested in his own home? Oh wait ... he can't be a thug .. he's blond ... my bad.
dallas fans were throwing ***** at k-mart's mom? seriously... like seriously... talk about uncalled for
If Cuban had done this to Artests mom, regardless of what she said to him first, this board would be in an uproar and ready to take Cuban's head off. I love the bias around here.
I'll try to... 1.Mark Cuban is man, in decent shape, who has a problem with Kenyon Martin and his style of basketball and/or life. He thinks he's a thug. 2.Martin's mom was allegedly talking trash to Cuban...if so, she was wrong. 3.Mark Cuban confronts Kenyon Martin's mom. You see, the root of Cuban's frustration is him, not his mom, but he goes after her...likely because he is afraid of Kenyon. Martin's mother might be wrong, probably not brave, but surely not a coward like Cuban.
Cuban is a little b****, always has been, always will be. When you have billions of dollars, there are never any repercussions for your actions...so of course he will feel compelled to insult a guy to his mother's face. And how the hell was it even warranted? Martin wasn't even involved in the last play.
Its also worth pointing out that the party after which Darrent Williams was murdered was both for and hosted by Kenyon Martin.
