Cuban's interested in the Rangers, not the Astros. Cuban will be at the Rangers auction on August 4th.

Rich Lord is probably just reading from some random blog.

No chance, he won't be able to buy the Rangers because Selig doesn't want the trouble Cuban would bring (also from one of the guys on 610am).

Um, he's already been approved by MLB. Fail.

Right, but Selig does have some influence you know. Besides, I'm just repeating what I heard.

Influence? What part of he's already been approved by MLB is hard to understand? It's an auction. Highest bidder wins.

Ohh... I didn't know they were selling it in an auction. I figure it was just up to the current ownership who they wanted to sell it to. I haven't been following that story, so I'll just shutup now.

As much as I hate the Mavericks and Cuban. If there was a chance he wanted the Astros I would be for it. He truly did turn the Mavericks organization around and make it worth watching and making money.

He isn't afraid to spend money and will for sure bring in some big names to make the team competitive. I know this is not going to happen but I would be happy to get an owner that makes some moves.

I wouldn't mind one bit. The Disastro's need change and Mark Cuban would be a big change from Drayton. We have a terrible farm system as is, I don't think Cuban could screw it up too much more.

Whoever the prospective owner is, they will have to be approved by the other current owners, via a vote, this has not happened yet.
