Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) as the face of the Republican Party

No Republicans make Republicans look bad. There are almost no Republicans that aren't just as crazy as she is. Yes... she is more unhinged, and has less of a filter, but if you think she's an outlier in her core beliefs, you are living on Mars. Kevin McCarthy is the freaking Speaker of the House and is literally using his power to launch investigations into the NY DA just to intimidate.

Or what about Gregg Abbott here in Texas who signed into law the most insanely fundamentalist anti-womens reproductive freedom laws in the world on par with something the freaking Taliban would impose. I'm 100% certain you voted for that guy as well as Lying Ted Cruz. Are you here to tell us that Gregg Abbott and Ted Cruz are THAT MUCH different than MTG?? How about Ken Paxton who literally tried to use his power as Texas AG to overturn the election on behalf of Trump's coup.

MTG is the face of the GOP dude. Republicans own her. Texans here that vote for people JUST LIKE HER like Paxton, Cruz, and Abbott absolutely have no credibility here to try and separate themselves from someone who is marginally more unhinged than the folks they actually vote for.

 

To be clear I think the evidence shows she's an effective politician but an ineffective legislator.

There's just no credible way to say that she's the polar opposite of MTG though. Nobody on the left is because even the most liberal Democrats still practice politics and legislation within the playground of a Democratic Republic, and our Constitution. MTG has literally called for Civil War, and politics on blowing up our Democracy in favor of some right wing autocratic makeover of our country.

MTG is a danger to our Democracy. AOC is not.

I don't disagree. I never said AOC is a bad person or a threat but she's not a good legislator. She refuses to take difficult positions. She refused to vote for bidens infrastructure law but took credit for it a few months later when a major hurricane hit. She has a LONGGG history of voting against a bill then taking credit for the legislation..

The *only* way to make a difference in this country is by passing law. Going viral on Twitter doesn't make any difference in the world. You have to pass laws

I jest with you but was independent until the middle of Trump's first term, too much crazy, hate, bigotry, and lack of democratic principles led me down this road...and I'm sure as hell not turning back.

 

It's hard to fathom that she can support treason and not be ousted from her office. Taking and posting Secret information online is unacceptable. That's a criminal offense, and inexcusable for anyone serving our country. MTG is out of line condoning this, and if she doesn't understand the severity of this man's actions she has no business being allowed to retain a seat in Congress. She is not a Patriot of this country. Her loyalty is not to the US when she justifies actions inexcusable by anyone holding a secret clearance. It's no surprise, since she loves Putin more than our President, and was a big part of Trump's coup and insurrection. She is a traitor. She's unfit to serve.
