no, just seems like someone who actually watched the game and saw jacoby have a positive impact for his team, unlike you, who either didn't watch the game or don't understand it. and i don't even like jacoby jones.

As a receiver? Huh? Through seven games (almost half a season), Jacoby has 13 catches for 202 yards and one touchdown. That's an even worse pace than his 31-catch season for the Texans in 2011, and on a lower yards per reception.

He's been solid as a returner, but as a receiver, Jones is the same underachiever he's always been.

3M a year is a steep price to pay for a return man.

I wouldnt say Jacoby has underachieved as a receiver...he is what he is. A return man that can lineup as a receiver, much like Devin Hester.

    From Sundays game
Smith: 4 receptions, 13 targets only 10.8 YPR
Boldin: 3 receptions, 8 targets only 8.0 YPR
Jones: 2 receptions, 2 targets only 8.5 YPR; and he also had 6 returns for an average return of 33 yards a return (give or take a little).
Looking at a pure statistical stand point Jacoby made the bigger impact on the game than Smith and Boldin. Hate to say it but Jones caught every pass that came his way.. and im not a Jones fan either

Ya, but when Flaco went...Flaco, he missed all his receivers. It wasn't their fault....he was over throwing them like crazy.

" :( Poor little tink tink."
    KAT WILLIAMS
EDIT: Uprising2K with the easy score

 ^ name that comedian - difficulty: easy.

I need to go back to some Hester stats to see if he has ever muffed a punt in the playoffs or disappeared when their main receiver was out.

Let's pretend acsorelle4 never said anything and return to topic.

I bet $10 to the tip jar that Mario doesn't have surgery. This smells of a PR ploy to "prove" how "hurt" he is. I still expect him to come in and have his banner 3-4 sack game to shut up the critics so he can go back to mailing in the rest of the season.

If I told you 2 of those sacks were agains the Cardinals (who've allowed the most in football by a lot), how would you feel?

Why are we defending Jacoby Jones's play. He's gone. We don't have to do that anymore.

That's the worst analysis ever. By this logic, a guy who gets open one time per game, makes the catch, but is completely blanketed the other 98% of the time is inherently superior to a guy with more targets. I mean, he "caught every pass that came his way", right? The low targets-to-receptions ratio for Smith and Boldin certainly had nothing to do with Joe Flacco's terrible inaccuracy, did it?

Psst: part of being a good receiver is creating the separation to be thrown at more than two times per game.

No, by a pure statistics standpoint, Smith and Boldin caught more passes for more yards, thus having the bigger impact.
