Andre will be a beast with a QB who throws the ball downfield.

Ric, you were wrong for saying Andre was not a playmaker last year. ;)

Oh my. Someone knows what they are talking about. Attendance has never dropped off. The Texans generate the 4th most stadium revenue in the NFL, you can check Forbes. So, considering they are the 4th most valuable franchise in the league, and are based in the 4th largest city in the United States, and given the fact that Texas has two teams, one team is a hate 'em or love 'em team, and the other is an up-and-coming sleeper team that is now 2-0, I'd say the Houston Texans have a strong market with loads of potential. I guarantee the Texans will be getting A LOT of attention this week on ESPN. Especially with the Colts coming to town.

Has there ever been an NFL draft pick that's been hyped so much, yet shown so little once he got onto an NFL field? Most overrated NFL draft prospect ever.

Seriously, I was burning the house down when the Texans picked Wario instead of Bush...I know several of us were...But, I'm glad the Texans are where they are now....

Same here. I drank the koolaid. I ate up the Youtube clips. I couldn't believe they passed on the greatest running back prospect ever. So that season, I went out and bought a pair of rabbit ears so I could catch the Fox feed out of Lake Charles, just so I wouldn't miss out on greatness unfolding.

Needless to say, I was dissapointed and underwhelmed. Now, I use the rabbit ears just to get a good laugh watching him dance in place with 20 yards of open field in front of him before he gets tackled for a 1 yard loss lol.

    Mario was crazy disruptive.

Hell, the entire DL as a unit was amazing.

Even the 2nd string got a lot of play time and made things happen.

Even though Mario seems to be playing better, Okoye looked more impressive today.

Really? Because I thought that for the most part today Mario was just another guy out there today save for his one tackle. This is what keeps me on the fence about him because he just doesn't appear to be able to string together consecutive good games. He's just up and down. One would have thought that because he was essentially playing back home he'd have put in a better effort today.

You guys can snicker at what Bush does or doesn't do all you want to but only Mario can silence all of the doubters and to do that he'll have to play more like he did last week especially against the better teams.

What kind of effort are you looking for? The sacks might not have been there, but he played a good game.

Between him and Peppers, Mario had the better game (even though Peppers had an extra tackle).

I want to see him put together a few big games. Remember, the big knock on him is that he is so up and down - he's a monster one game and virtually invisible the next. He just needs to bring it every game.

Me too. Also tired of people who don't understand that merchandise revenue is distributed equally among all 32 teams, regardless of how much your team sells. Wish we could sticky those two bits. :)

mario played pretty well. No he didnt get sacks but from what i remember, the stunt plays with him cutting into the middle were some of the plays where the most pressure came. i think people are just being a little unrealistic.

I saw mario eat up double teams, take up passing lanes, and generally cause mayhem all game long.

More than once Delhomme reared back to make a pass, and Mario's big paw went up in the air and Delhomme was forced to bail on the play or make a bad read to compensate.

The rotation on the DL was great.

To be fair, paid attendance is important for the franchise's finances, but it doesn't tell you the popularity of the team. The Marlins game last week that had 500 fans there had a paid attendance of 10,000.

I kind of agree. It's good to see him be a part of our strong DL play, but what I want to see is him stand out like he did last game. You look at like Okoye and Okoye seems to make more 'impact' on the line than Mario does. I just want to see Mario stand out more consistently, game to game.

I disagree; I thought Mario was the lineman most consistently in the backfield and most consistently drawing double teams. He also really hammered the running game when it went to his side. He didn't have the numbers, but of all the guys up front, Mario was the one who imo had the most consistent game today.
