i should clarify: beat writers, actually - 2 from each NFL city. so it's a much better representation of actual performance because it's coming from people assigned to actually watch the games.
At least Golic and the guys on the ESPN Selection Show acknowledged that Mario was snubbed and should have gone over any of the other DE's chosen.
What a load. Mario gets the undue criticism and now is denied his due praise. That guy can't catch a break.

Your Tittytans are barreeeeeeely hanging on for dear life to get into the playoffs. The Browns have the Bungles and 49ers left. You guys have the Jets and Indy. Good luck w/ that. Soon, the Texans and Titans will have the same record...or wait, maybe we might end up being 9-7 and the Tittytans 8-8. Wouldn't that be a coinkydink?
Agreed which is why I never really cared about the Pro Bowl at all. The all-pro team is really where the honor lies and he should at least make 2nd team if not 1st. In all likelihood, Mario will still end up in Honolulu because of the usual defections that occur once the SuperBowl is over. Which, if all the VY haters out there are keeping score, is how VY got there last year.
It is acceptable to me because he had his breakout career game in front of a national audience after the polls had closed. Come on 2 weeks ago Mario wasn't the top runner in his position so you can't complain. Same could be said for Osi Umenyiora who had like a monster game with 6 sacks against the Eagles but that was earlier in the season so people forgot about him. I am still proud of our boys especially DeMeco who has been nothing but spectacular so far. Looking down the road I can see DeMeco, Mario and Andre Johnson as competeting every year for a pro bowl spot. I hope Omobi can join the party as well some day. We have a great young defense and need only a few pieces in the secondary to become an elite unit.
I'm pissed about Mario not making it but I'm really happy for Demeco! This should be his second appearance but he was ripped off last year by dense fans elsewhere. Mario's getting that same treatment that Ryans got last year and we all know he deserved it. ESPN had him as one of the guys that got snubbed! Ryans on the other hand is a damn machine and is gonna go down as one of the top 10 LBs of all time one of these days!!!
