all Thornton needs to do is hit open threes. All the ones that Ariza, Brewer, Bev missed last year

So what do you expect him to be, if not a scorer off the bench?

he can do that, probably better than everyone except harden. but we got terry and brew for backup sg/sf. he should be the 3rd string sg, unless he gets in shape and can play like he used to.

Well Terry might or might not be back (i hope he will be)..but you do wanna limit Terry's minutes as much as possible. That way he will hopefully be injury free and ready to knock down shots at a high clip come playoff time. MT is younger and can be a prolific scorer. I think he will do just that for Houston given all the open shots he will be getting. And why not play Brew mainly as backup SF and let MT get the bulk of the minutes as backup SG. That way you will always have one guy on the court who can create for himself.

if he can ply better than terry then he should be the backup sg. but he did bounce around the league and his last 2=3 years weren't that good.

Terry isn't around to play a lot of minutes. He should only see spot minutes, probably not a regular in the rotation.

terry played cause Bev got hurt. If nick Johnson still end up as the 3rd string PG after next season, both he and Terry will need to be history.

With the addition of Ty, we as fans...rightfully are pumped for a possibly amazing season. But we should NOT sleep on this guy being a huge factor off the bench. Marcus signed for the vet min, and is out for something to prove, especially in hopes for a big contract...

    Starting
    Ty Lawson
    James Harden
    Trevor Ariza
    Donatas Motiejunas
    Dwight Howard

    Bench:
    Patrick Beverley
    Marcus Thornton
    Corey Brewer
    Terrence Jones
    Clint Capella

    3rd string:
    Jason Terry
    KJ McDaniels
    Sam Decker
    Montrezl Harrell
    Chuck Hayes

hahaha - have you guys even looked at his splits?

he is the classic case of someone who needed limited minutes to help keep him effective. Once his minutes crossed a certain minute threshold, his effectiveness went down.

He was a bit overrated for a time, but is a good role player. Will he work for us? Not sure, but given that we will be restricting his minutes, I fully anticpate that his shooting percentages will go back to his prime historical averages.

I think it's freckles. You can even see it in the first picture.

I think the lighting in the second picture was really bright and harsh and it made the freckles way more noticeable than they really are.

With Harden and Lawson doing there thing he should get some good looks. All he needs to do is knock some down when on the floor. If Brewer and or Ariza are cold maybe he won't be.
