Kevin Ollie played guard for the Sacramento Kings in 99, he was coached by Rick Adelman. Kevin Ollie coached Shabazz Napier at UConn. I think we trade for Shabazz Napier
Paging Mdoggnic... I read "Bird Man" Ryan Blanderson too. He, as proven, is perfect next to Dwert. TJones and Ant connection too.
Squaking bird = Chris Birdman Anderson. The heat are gonna make is take Birdman in order to get Napier
ok now I'm pretty sure Smith will come back. Sac went after Bargnani and now after Mbah a Moute Mavs are trying to sign McGee. All these teams should be all over Smith yet go for much worse player. Why? Most likely because he has turned them down.
But then he could've accepted the non bird contract, although he might be waiting to see if (a) we will give him the MLE (if someone offers McDaniels more or whatever) or (b) for us to make other moves.
yup. He's likely waiting, to see if he can get paid MLE money. Also for a trade to clear up playing time. Becuase there will be one for a guard.
The rockets style of play is absolutely perfect for this guy. I could easily see him averaging a good 14-15 points (ala Jamal Crawford) coming off the bench. Especially seeing as he's the only other guy we have besides harden that can create his own shot.
How the heck did we get him for the minimum? This guy averaged 22 points a game just a few seasons ago and he is still young.
Oh I didn't know you were a sports doctor. Seeing as though Dwight has never had any surgery on his knee and the injury he had was rather minor as knee injuries go I'm glad to see you are psychic. What if I told you that Dwight has better knees than any basketball player who has had knee surgery? Dwight has all of his menisci, his original ACLs, his original cartilage minus general wear and tear, etc. If Dwight had a major injury he would have had surgery this offseason. I wish everybody would stop with the Dwight is damaged goods crap. Duncan has had many surgeries on that knee and is 39.
He's never averaged 22 pts a game for a season. He averaged 22 pts a game for the Kings in 27 games played. Before being traded to the Kings he averaged 7.8 pts a game in 46 games played for the Hornets. For that whole 10-11 season he averaged 12.8 pts. His most impressive season was the next year averaging 18.7 pts in 51 games played but he really didn't do that much else beside score well on a very bad team. His 3pt has consistently been slightly above average his whole career so their is some optimism there. Low risk, high reward type signing with it being a vet min so I'm all for it.
