Been exactly where you are - they have no intelligence - they are zombies - you can hit them upside the face with a baseball bat full of facts and reason and you will get no response - stupid - moronic - they would not know an all star if it smacked them in the face - they have no alternatives - they want change but will resist everything you say - typical CF folks LOL
And while I am at it clutch or someone needs to get rid of some of this deadwood and intellectual black holes around here. Just saying.
Hawks management openly told the media that they're keeping Josh Smith in a Hawks uniform throughout the 2012-2013 season. maybe the Rockets can try their luck at getting him in the summer of 2013.
Could that just be talk similar to Orlando's stance on Howard? He is under contract, but next summer he just walks and Atlanta gets nothing back. My money is on him being gone this summer or at the latest by the trade deadline.
And the Hawks have just 6 players signed next season for $61 million. Cap management at its finest! LOL
Like you? Oh diss!! You are aware Clutch has been an advocate of tanking? Not that he couldnt see your pov, but I'm pretty sure he's on the side of Gasol = too old, too soft, and way too expensive. Makes the rockets better? Yes. Good enough to matter? No. He could t even do that 2 yrs in a row when supported by / supporting Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum.
I am not talking about anyone's position. I am talking about people who go in and flame and then run and hide and won't stay and defend their opinion. I have opinions. You have opinions. If your opinion does not agree with mine that is OK.
I've heard they want to amnesty Mavin Williams, but for their future sake. They should cut Joe Johnson loss.
People I am not talking about opinions here. We each are entitled to our own. So when I am trying to discuss trading for Gasol don't just tell me he is SOFT. Don't track down clips of Gasol being caught in a defensive rotation on a SG or SF. He is going to be schooled on that match up. He is a center for christ sakes. Tell me something I don't know. Go and pull up defensive stats of the Lakers rotations and demonstrate that he cannot hold down the defensive fort. I might be wrong. But to make an impression on me you had better bring something besides an ill-considered opinion.
I am not a bully. I defer often to the opinions of people like Bima and Carl and HMMMM. I can and do admit when I am wrong. Heck I respect DD. He has valuable insight, he just sometimes expresses it badly.
Yeah, like go back in time to 2010 and listen to anyone with any semblance of salary cap knowledge telling them to run from that monstrosity of a contract demand and just let the Knicks sign him! jtr, I think you're a great addition to the GARM. However, I think you have unrealistic expectations of others on ths BBS. Many people don't have the pockets of time available to give you the back-and-forth debate for which you are looking. Back off a little with the vitriole at guys like jopatmc--who himself is a well-respected poster here--when they do not meet your standards for arguments. I also think you need to cut down on the multiple successive posts. While I know you don't have the membership status to edit your posts (FYI: You can get added features if you contribute $ to the site), the string of posts--most notably those where you reply to the same post multiple times in a row--come off as overbearing and are a little off-putting to the rest of us. You've got good things to say. Just think through your counter-arguments a little more before clicking "Submit". Again, I respect your additions to ths BBS. I just wanted to give some constructive criticism that should enhance the quality that I see you adding here.
We are in thread abotu Marcus Morris but it seems all that goes on here is trade talk. Sad. Anyway, on Gasol, for all the benefits having a guy of his size has, there are more knocks that would make trading for him a bad choice. One he is a star but not capable of carrying a team. As many have stated, he produces at a clip just above Scola but where Scola did so on a team that many thought had only a outside shot at the beginning of hitting the playoffs, Gasol produces those numbers on a contender. He has stated to not want to play for our team and in the past has blamed poor performances on his emotional condition along with needing prodding to perform from his team's star player. Thus earning the 'soft' label. He is a older player with a large contract for at least another two seasons. Gasol is not a solution at PF or C, unless you can bring over dynamic player that you run the offense with and make him a number 2 offensive option or the best therapist in the World. And we will need to trade Budinger or Morris because that log jam at the SF position is hindering both of their developments at this point and that of the team. The only bright spot, is that with either Kyle or Goren gone, maybe the coaching staff won't use two PGs on the floor so much.
