You can't just look at size and weight when you are determining what position a guy should play. Chuck Hayes is about the same size and weight as Ron Artest , and Magic Johnson was about the same size and weight as Dennis Rodman -- skill set is what you use to determine what position a guy will play. Given Marcus Morris's skill set, his only chance to stay in the league and to possibly excel in the league is to play the three. He simply does not have the length, post defending or rebounding skills to be a power forward in the NBA. He does however have the outside shooting and perimeter skills to possibly play the 3 -- and if he can play the three, he has a strength and size advantage there that may allow him to become a high level player along the lines of Big Dog Glen Robinson. However, we better hope things go well in RGV, because of Morris can't be a 3 in the NBA then he'll be a complete bust. Personally I hated this pick when the Rockets took him over Leonard, but the other posters on here really talked me off that ledge. I still am positive about what he can do at SF, I just am not sure where he fits in for the future of the team with Buddhinger and Parsons also being young developing small forwards.
Good. He will get more touches down there and come back this season, contribute and earn the starting positioin by season's end.
No, he isn't. Morris is closer to Rudy Gay's measurements, who is 6'7" without shoes and 230 lbs currently. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Marcus-Morris-5178/ http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Rudy-Gay-34/ http://www.nba.com/playerfile/rudy_gay/
