What's the point in drafting basically 2 Parsons? Leonard looks to have a brighter future than Morris at this point, but his skillset and upside is fairly similar to Parsons. And IMO, if Leonard played on the Rockets rather than the Spurs, I'm certainly people would talk about him as a poster child for Morey's "safe, no upside" method of drafting.
Kawhi Leonard isn't going to make the Rockets relevant again. Morris represents the beginning of a shift in philosophy, as in, if we ain't gonna hit the bank with our draft picks then we sure as hell are gonna hit the bottom. No use in drafting these "safe" high-floor low-ceiling guys anymore. Screw that. Shoot the moon. Go for broke. Because in the NBA being broke is much better than being mediocre.
