You just compared an inexperienced, undrafted role player's hookshot to the All-Time NBA Leading Scorer's deadly, unstoppable Skyhook. Ummm, okay....... Whatever floats your goat.....
Sure but he is right about Greg's game expanding. People should give him more time. Guy is a young big. Takes longer to develop those.

Hey, I just like rooting for underdogs that other people like to kick. Besides, Greg's hook shots were getting better and better as the season progressed. Camby played 24 games last year averaging 10 mins per game. I seriously don't expect him to do any heavy lifting this season, either. So better hope Greg will continue to improve.
so smith, dmo, and jones will be battling it out for minutes at the 4 while camby, asik, and howard are set at the 5....cool!
I wouldn't be disappointed if we kept Greg Smith. Just think he's gonna be a free agent next year, is the odd man out as far as position, and is actually tradeable.
Love the visual, but I don't think tht can be the roster because 2 would have to go to the D-League and only Cannan fits that profile. I'm betting on Covington making the team. Hard to know who gets bumped for him or what happens.
Maybe it will be like last year with Jones, Motiejunas, and Smith splitting time between the NBA and D-league...
My guess for the lineups would be Lin/Bevelry/Brooks (Caanan is likely in D-league and Brooks possibly a 2nd guard behind Lin) Harden/Williams/Casspi Parsons/Garcia Smith/Motiejunas/T. Jones (If either T. Jones or Motiejunas play very well in training camp, we can assume either would be a PF starter rather than Smith) Howard/Asik/Camby We should be set up for NBA Finals
Not necessarily. Plenty of guys on the roster can shoot from range. If a guy is bad enough in other aspects of the game, he may get beat out of a spot even if he can shoot. Even young Steve Novak (a.k.a. the Best Shooter TMac Has Ever Seen in His Life) couldn't find a regular role with the Rockets before he got traded (for the right to swap 2nd round picks).
