...and mchale would go small ball with tjones at the 5 instead as one lacked awareness and the other too slow to play pick and roll defense.
I like the idea of that trade. But yeah there's some areas to sort out before it makes the best sense. No team would want to pay Asik that much to be a backup, even the Rockets. Thats kind of a problem. Can realistically deal him to a team that wants him as a starter, and can give back pieces that fit roles in the Rockets teams. And least Amir Johnson can play some power forward. Amir would be nice Rockets backup to both frontcourt spots though, Camby would be insurance. Though Amir's actually a good fit where he's at too, he plays next to Jonas Val without getting in the way, and he's expiring. I'm not sure Toronto would give up a 1st round pick for Asik to get in the way. Basically, Asik gets in the way of all backup centers even the cheap ones lol. If Camby is complaining about playing time and wants to be on a contender, even the Rockets arent a good fit for him. But if Camby accepts 3rd string center for vet min, I'll take him. And if the Rockets don't mind playing with a non-stretch 4 I'll take Amir
I would love to have Amir for this team. He is every bit as good as Millsap but for less. He was Raps best player last season and has to be high on Morey's radar. Camby and Dalembert are great for backup 5.
