He has been doing it for so long its second nature to him..........these type of people do not stop or change, once he gets voted out I am sure he will get a reality show or a pod cast. I would genuinely be shocked if ANYONE votes for this dude next term.................and then I am sure he will lead with the "The election was rigged dam it". House Democrat introduces resolution to expel Rep. George Santos from Congress​

A House Democrat announced plans today to force a floor vote on a resolution to expel scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos from Congress,
less than a week after the first-term Republican congressman pleaded not guilty to fraud charges.

The one-sentence resolution introduced by California Rep. Robert Garcia is a symbolic one; the measure is expected to fail but will force House Republicans to go on the record on their colleague from New York.

"George Santos is a fraud and a liar, and he needs to be expelled by the House," Garcia said in a statement. "Republicans now have a chance
to demonstrate to Americans that an admitted criminal should not serve in the House of Representatives."

The motion is a privileged resolution, which when offered by a rank and file House member triggers a procedural vote in the next two days,
although Republicans can still block the measure. Any motion to expel requires a two-thirds vote. But any GOP effort to block or table the resolution would still mean the House would vote.

 

Since he pleaded guilty in Brazil, its a great time for Republicans to get out from under him and expel him. Of course, they had opportunities like that with Trump and wouldn't take them.

 

Republicans don't like holding their own accountable when it doesn't suit them. They barely have a majority, so of course they won't expel him. Look at Texas, at least they got rid of their criminal in the Texas House, but that's because they know that vacated seat is safe and don't have to worry about any party power shift. It's a convenience thing.

Per wikipedia, the first openly gay Republican Rep (outed while in office) was Steve Gunderson, 1994. The first to come out voluntarily was Jim Kolbe, 1996 (and was re-elected several times thereafter). But Santos is the first openly gay republican to win without an incumbency advantage.
