I haven't been able to follow the returns but just saw that Hillary is projected to win Ohio and that TX is too close to call. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23463159/?GT1=43001 I also noticed in the article there were reports that there has been a lot of confusion at the caucus portion of the TX primary and that the Clinton campaign is accusing Obama supporters of underhanded tactics. Here is the relevant quote: "Voting was also described as confusing in Texas, where nearly half of delegates were being chosen in evening caucuses after the polls closed. The Clinton campaign alleged that Obama supporters were confiscating precinct chairmen’s manuals at the caucuses, as well as locking out Clinton supporters. “What is happening tonight is an outrage,” said Ace Smith, Clinton’s state director. “It’s really disturbing, and it’s really undemocratic what is going on.” " Has there been any more information about this down in local TX news?
It's okay to pick a side that already knows it's nominee. Who you really picking? Did you vote? Anything constructive, or even a decent slam, o' funny one? I doubt you get the true farting going on here. The farting here is what is happening before the Dems crap a huge brick in November. The campaign seems to have hit a major pocket of gas... and it stinks to be you. What's the matter? Don't have a nominee yet? Here ya' go... McCain '08! (McCain is the Gas-x you're looking for.) btw- in Texas, Huck will get nearly the same % that Bill did in his battle with the Perot skew... Makes ya' think doesn't it?
How does this work? CNN seems to say 14% is 14% We have to still expect 86% results to come in. That means Obama could easily take lead with Harris alone following the trend
IROC, are you seriously dropping some "we decided on our mediocre candidate before you decided on your mediocre candidate" smack talk?
I think in theory, 50% voted before today in early voting... meaning tonight's 14% is only 7% of the total 100% vote. It's 50% of the total left, but the 14% figure is "of the votes tallied this evening" Given that perspective, it may not swing much... but sure it still could. I'm not sure if that is what the previous poster was speculating on, but that's how I take it... All I'm sure about is... McCain '08! (Republican Party: Si Se Peude!)
The percentage is by precinct reporting, not percent of the vote. For example, the total vote for Texas is expected to be around 3 million. Yet, if you were watching earlier tonight, there were over a million votes counted and the CNN tracker said 0 or 1 percent. Another example: Harris is now at 33 percent in. Obama has about 150,000 and Hillary has 100,000. There are a couple of things that stand out there. One, as you see, it's not proportional with what the 14 percent figure was. Two, Clinton is closing the gap -- it was 63-37 earlier. Voters who decided today, even in the big cities, went Clinton -- and those are a decent proportion of the votes remaining.
Funny how, once it's clear that Dems are divided and Repubs are united within a few hours of the tally... The Dems try and wrangle the Repubs candidates into their own mediocrity. Laughable. It is funny though, right? McCain '08! ("As Ohio goes, so goes the nation" -HRC 3/4/08 ... It's on her.)
What about me makes you think I'll be voting for either Clinton or Obama? What about me makes you think I'm a Democrat?
Nothing whatsoever. Um, other than your tone in your last post... Perhaps an aisle jumper? Anywho... what I said, and you quoted, is about what is being said by many talking heads on the telly. So... whatever. McCain '08 (Seriously? You think this is "smack talk?" Nope. Just having a little light-hearted fun at the expense of an undecided party... that's all. I may not get many more happy moments for at least four years... gotta make the most of it.)
