I thought we should've fired MDA last summer rather than let him go into a lame duck season (teams always underperform in that situation). I was hoping for Vogel or Lue before this season. Really happy lue is still an option.

    right now I'm hoping for:

    1-lue
    2-atkinson
    3a-Silas
    3b-JVG

4 vacancies left in the NBA. we should be able to land one of them.

Lol exactly. The only player over 6’10” on the roster is at the tail end of his career.

Please no. I don't want LeBron's puppet coach. Need someone with balls to rein Russ in.

only reason morey is interviewing 7-8 coaches is to drive up business at Landry's so tilman will spend the MLE this year.

LOL Ty Lue? I'd rather have Pringles back wtf.

Rockets needs an Xs and Os tactician not another "character coach" who would get destroyed by the likes of Mike Malone, Spoelstra, Vogel and the other real coaches in the NBA.

If all we wanted is another dude who gets along with Russ and Harden then shouldn't have fired Pringles they both love him cuz he lets them do whatever they want.

“I love Ty Lue. I think it would be, definitely, if he’s not their first pick he should be right there at the top. Because he’s an unbelievable X’s and O’s guy, a players’ coach, a guy that’s very approachable that you can talk to, and I think that the personnel that they have, he would be great.” — Kevin Love to Fox Sports in 2019 when Lue was tied to the Lakers job

“That’s stupid. That’s a dumb statement,” Jefferson said. “T-Lue and Gregg Popovich are the two best X’s and O’s coaches that I’ve played for in my entire basketball career. From high school all the way up until I retired.”

“Ty Lue very underrated X’s and O’s.. Doc Rivers help develop that with him letting him draw up play after play in critical situations in practices all the time.. Ex Cav players will tell you similar things, I’m sure of it.” - NBA Champion Jared Dudley

KLove and Jefferson aren't exactly the paragon of judging the X and O capabilities of coaches lol.

Jefferson even forgot he got coach by Carlisle you think Ty Lue is better than Carlisle?

That Jared Dudley quote is even worse, Doc Rivers helped him develop his X and O talent since when was Rivers seen as a tactical mastermind? He can't teach what he doesn't have like a beggar teaching you to become a billionaire.

Richard Jefferson's coaches during his NBA career:

    Byron Scott
    Lawrence Frank
    Scott Skiles
    Greg Popovich
    Mark Jackson
    Tyrone Corbin
    Rick Carlisle
    Ty Lue
    Mike Malone

Not exactly a who's who list of GOAT coaches. Maybe he forgot his one year with Dallas under Carlisle because, IMO, Rick > Ty by a mile. The lone ring he won with the Cavs probably also clouded his judgement.

Only way we win a ring is if we get another guy who can get us 30 on a given night.

Interesting considering he also played briefly for Rick Carlisle, Mike Malone, and Lawrence Frank.

"How's the gumbo? Nothing but the best at Landry's."
(trying not to grimace) "Really good, Mister Fertitta." (flat expression) "Even better than Red Lobster."
