One last thing about my trade idea: If you read the source I cited stating Boston would like to move Ray Allen they mention how Allen couldn't guard Bryant and how they would specifically love to obtain a better defensive player and a rebounding, shot blocking big. This fits exactly with my trade idea. They can start: Rajon Rondo Paul Pierce Shane Battier Kevin Garnett Kendrick Perkins with off the bench: Eddie House Tony Allen Brian Scalabrine Rasheed Wallace Samuel Dalembert We can start: Aaron Brooks Ray Allen Andre Igoudala Luis Scola Chuck Hayes And off the bench: Kyle Lowry Chase Budinger Trevor Ariza Carl Landry David Anderson The Nets are just lucky to get Tracy's expiring and probably John Wall...the lucky basterds. Good deal all around. Not to mention that with Allen's 18 million expiring paired with not resigning Lowry or Scola (or playing hardball) and Shane off the books for next season we save LOTS of cash. We can even keep Cook's 3 million expiring as he isn't needed to get a deal done. With that cash we could actually squeeze into getting a superstar free agent over the summer. Perhaps Bima could verify...?
It could become a 4 team deal with a team that wants Andre Miller taking him and giving expiring contracts to Houston and Washington because they both have more cap room in the deal. For example, the Knicks could take Miller and give Nate Robinson to Washington and Cuttino Mobley's to Houston and it works. Just an idea. Does anyone know of any teams that would want Miller?
^^^^ It becomes... HOUSTON RECEIVES: Caron Butler, Nick Young, Mike Miller, Cuttino Mobley PORTLAND RECEIVES: Shane Battier, Brendan Haywood WASHINGTON RECEIVES: Tracy McGrady, Travis Outlaw, Rudy Fernandez, Nate Robinson NEW YORK RECEIVES: Andre Miller
A.I. is 26 plz tell me where you got any of your facts. Where and when did Caron murder someone and he is also 29 for a couple more months...bud is not better YET he could be but may take a while...Caron has proven that he can score. PLEASE DO NOT PULL FACTS OUT OF YOUR ASSH0L3
If the deal is rumored to be for Haywood and Butler for McGrady plus, why would we agree to this when we can just ship Haywood to Portland for Rudy Fernandez ourselves? We might even be able to pick up Prizbilla in the deal for next year...
You know...we should really just ignore chapman. I'm beginning to get the impression he's just trolling because no one could actually be that dumb and or obnoxious. Then again I could be wrong. Either way we let him derail far too many conversations here.
I thought the Knicks were trying to move longer term contracts to have the opportunity to have plentiful Cap Space this Summer. Acquiring Miller would work against that plan unless they have just chosen a new plan. Do you have information about a New Plan by the Knicks?
A trade like that would involve four teams. Knicks, Washington, Blazers, Rockets... it will never happen. Besides that you can't really do much trading with two teams that are both fighting to clear cap space. I also think Portland's need to trade Miller has softened lately. If anyone is getting moved I believe it's going to be Fernandez for a big. My guess would be to Phoenix for Robin Lopez IMO.
I dout CBud + Tmac is enough for the Wiz to give up 2 of their starters in Butler & Haywood. It would only save them an extra year of salary in Butler anyway and they could swing a much better deal with Haywood. There are many ways for them to get under the LT which I think is their primary goal. Haywood & Miller are all expiring contracts who can contribute a lot on a contender. I heard the Cavs has been really interested in Jamison too. Why not deal Jamison to Cleveland for big Z and Hickson then trade Haywood to Portland for expiring contract such as Blake/Outlaw plus a young prospect? In the end NY may be the idealest trade partner for Houston. I know this doesn't sound too tempting but it's not a good time for us now. If Morey can turn TMac into say Mobley(EC), Hughes(EC) and Hill I'm all for it. Don't think the Knicks would do it though.
Caron is having himself a nice game tonight vs the C's... 6-12 20pts 11 boards 2 dimes and 3 steals does have 6 TOs. Audition maybe???
David Aldridge on the Arenas situation but had this little snippet in there: http://www.nba.com/2010/news/features/david_aldridge/02/01/morning.tip/
WOW not a fan of taking DeShawn Stevenson contract for next season but TMAC for Butler/Haywood/Stevenson does work and I believe would get us out of luxury tax land. I will say I would not want to get rid of any of our young players because we would be doing Washington a huge favor if they choose to go after a max player this offseason.
Im disappointed if all we get is butler and haywood, after all the commotion about the 23 million expiring, you'd think we'd atleast get an elite player in return or a 1st round pick. Don't see this as a big upgrade, if were suppose to be building a championship team especially when we have to go through the Lakers.
Geez, not every expiring contract can get you elite players back, especially one like T-mac's contract. Trying to make ends work would be tough since the team would want young talent back, but combining that with Mac's contract makes the trade even harder.
