You never no. The guy he would be backing up is one of the most injury prone players in the entire league.
I think this is more about the media throwing the Knicks out there rather than us talking with them. For us to even consider doing a trade with the Knicks, there will have to be a 3rd team involved. The Knicks have nothing we would want.
Well in reality its all just gossip but the players understand that this team isn't going to win a title and like my signature reads Morey's job is to build a champion. Brooks/Landry understand they are very sought after assets because of their talent and contracts so I am sure a trade is on their mind and even Budinger understands he cheap and talented. I have always thought where there is smoke there must be fire and sure enough every rumor that has come up has had some legs just how much interest either side has had is the question IMO.
McGrady + Dorsey + First Round Pick (Protected) for Butler + Miller + Second Round Pick works. I don't understand the opposition to Mike James being included in a deal if it gets the Rockets under the Luxury Tax line without having to send out other assets such as Budinger or Brooks or a Draft Pick. There is going to be a Cost for obtaining or maintaining expiring contract space and trade proposals posted here that overlook that aren't being realistic.
I like that deal, but if it's made, I would think Morey would want to then move one of his three's out.
sorry but I really don't want ANY first rounders involved in our trades. And right now I highly doubt Morey will give up any 2010 pick considering that we have traded away THREE OUT OF FOUR of our last 4 first rounders including a lottery pick!!! I'm not a fan of ANY wizards deal unless its something like 3 second rounders for Nick Young. Its actually useless to get ANY expirings back as we aren't going to have any capspace this season and its just a waste of assets if we get someone like mike miller who would just come here and get some stats and leave in FA. Morey rejected a Iggudala + Dalembert for McGrady + Lowry so he aint gonna surrender up anything of value for washington
what do you think about this... HOUSTON RECEIVES: Caron Butler, Nick Young, Mike Miller PORTLAND RECEIVES: Shane Battier, Brendan Haywood WASHINGTON RECEIVES: Tracy McGrady, Travis Outlaw, Rudy Fernandez Rockets get their guy, a young prospect and an expiring contract Trailblazers get a defensive veteran to play with Roy and a big man they desperately need Wizards get 2 expiring contracts and a young prospect
Do drafts pick have any money value in a trade? The only reason I ask is either Houston or Washington could send draft picks to make both sides happy. Thanks
hmmmmm.........dont think so......draft picks are counted as $0 unless they are signed before they are traded like we did with Donte Greene. to be honest, give me andre iguodala over caron butler ANYDAY. and twice on tuesdays please
I would love that trade...of course nothing is gonna happen by the deadline and I'm perfectly fine with that.
Which Trade Validator did you use to verify that this trade will work according to NBA guidelines? I would like to examine it for more information.
Houston Trades: T-Mac, Battier, Cook, Dorsey Houston Receives: Iggy, Lee, Pryz, Mobley, Ivey Philly Trades: Iggy, Ivey, Dalembert Philly Receives: T-Mac, Fernandez, Jeffries Portland Trades: Pryz, Fernandez, Outlaw, Blake Portland Receives: Dalembert, Battier, Dorsey NY Traes: Lee, Mobley, Jeffries NY Receives: Cook, Outlaw, Blake Houston does is because they get rid of T-Mac, pick up a center for this year in Lee and a scoring wing in Iggy. And if Lee leaves, they have a back up center in Pryz. Ivey and Mobley are expriing contracts. Philly does it cause they get rid of Iggy and Dalemberts contracts and pick up t-macs huge expiring and a young prospect in rudy fernandez. the price? jared jeffries who could still be a good role player. Portland does it because they need defensive permiter help and a center and they get both. Blake is tradeable with Andre Miller beginning to heat up and Jerryd Bayless finding his touch. Pryz out for the season and have Dalembert to take his spot as back up to Oden next season. Outlaw has been injury prone and Rudy hasn't been nearly as effective as last season. NY Finds a way to get rid of Jeffries contract. They have to give up Lee but they aren't going to the playoffs anyway. They get 3 expriing contracts.
