I'll bet you money Morey is fishing for another first rounder, either Toronto's pick that Miami owns or Charlotte's pick to take on Chandler's salary.

Rumor has it that Colangelo wants more than just Jeffries from the Houston Rockets. He's either wanting that 2011 pick or Hill. Once again... Toronto needs to suck it up and take what they can get. Cleveland has some assets to trade to rebuild unlike Toronto who has big contracts tied in Calderon, Turk, and Bargnani. Mo Williams and Jamison can net Cleveland something back.

How do you figure that. Morey wants Chandler but he doesn't want to give up any more than scrubs to get him. The problem is Toronto wants more out of the deal. I can bet you money they want more than Anderson Harris. They probably want Hill and a first. Of course Morey is rejecting that but he may have to give more to make deal happen. And you can bet if Charlotte has to give up anything it's to Miami and they will send to Toronto.

What more could they want? They have a choice

    option 1: NOTHING

    option 2: SOMETHING

seems like anything the get would be a bonus.

They can want all they want. They're not in a position to get. Morey, however, is in a position to sit tight until someone agrees to give him another potential lottery pick for the privilege of taking on more salary.

Toronto has no leverage at this point. Like I stated already, Toronto has three guys tied into long term deals. They need to get as much as they can get. So something is better than nothing.

They will get their 1st round pick back from Miami and big trade exemption too. But no..they want to be greedy and want to swipe Cbud, Pat Pat or Hill from the Rockets and Morey isn't going to give it to them.

We should offer up our normal 2012 first, not the NY one, as incentive for Toronto.

they would get a 1st round pick from miami and a giant trade exception. Harris does not have a guaranteed contract and Andersen has very little guaranteed. They would be cut anyway

The deal for Beasley doesn't involve Toronto. It involves Miami, Chicago, and Charlotte with the idea creating the space to give Toronto their huge trade exception. But Toronto is wanting the trade exception and a pick which Miami nor Charlotte are willing to give and we sure aren't willing to give to get this deal done.

if it doesnt happen we dont have a backup big man or we have Brad miller anyways. The only people losing out are Toronto who refuses to get anything in return over hurt feelings.

I'd give them the Clippers 2011 2nd round (rights to swap picks)... ;)

In order to get this done!

What pick would say is off limits in your opinion? I think the 2011 is for sure off limits.
