Dam I actually rather see Andersen go in the trade but if we are getting an athletic rebounding, SHOT-BLOCKING , defensive center like Chandler I am happy as hell. Still remember the great D he played on Duncan in the playoffs. This is a WIN in just about ever way. Maybe finally Morey gets us a true back-up for Yao.

Exactly. If this trade didn't happen because of us, I guarantee you its for the better.

I don't understand why Andersen and $3M from Miami can't go to Charlotte. Send a non-guaranteed contract to Toronto.

TOR: TPE, 1st (from MIA via TOR), Non-guaranteed contract
CHA: Beasley, Jeffries, Andersen, $3M in cash
    HOU: Chandler
    MIA: Bosh

Funny thing is, Toronto can now walk away with nothing for Bosh.

I'm sure Morey told them that. "Fine with me, you'll get nothing from Bosh though..." *hangs up phone*

    This.

I'm all for a Chandler/Jeffries swap but not at the expense of young talent. We didn't get Bosh so we're not paying for his sign and trade to Miami. Toronto had their chance to get assets for Bosh at the trade deadline and refused to move him. It's time for them to cut their losses and move on.

Exactly. I wouldn't expect any announcement, even if a deal has been agreed upon, until this evening.

I agree with many of the posters here that Bryan Collengalo is playing hardball. He wants more than what he is getting and I believe at the end of the day, he will agree to the deal. Toronto not wanting to do the trade and Lebron's decision is the only thing stopping this trade from happening.

There was a report earlier that Houston might be cut from the deal, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Not really considering the fact we don't have any money to spend.

Updated 9 min ago from Feigen:

    http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7099520.html

The Rockets talks on a four-team trade in which they would land the backup center they have been seeking are no longer expected to lead to a completed deal, two individuals with knowledge of the deal said. But the trade, in which the Rockets would get Charlotte center Tyson Chandler, is contingent on LeBron James’ decision tonight and could be scuttled by the Toronto Raptors’ ambivalence about completing a sign-and-trade deal to send Chris Bosh to Miami.

In the deal, originally reported by ESPN.com, the Rockets would deal forward Jared Jeffries to Charlotte to get Chandler. The Heat would send Michael Beasley to the Bobcats to create cap room to give Dwyane Wade, Bosh and James max contracts.

The trade, however, was on very shaky footing from the start, according to the individual with knowledge of the talks, with the teams waiting for decisions from Toronto president and general manager Bryan Colangelo and James.

Rockets general manager Daryl Morey did not comment about his options after Bosh’s decision to join the Miami Heat.

Colangelo told the Toronto media on Thursday, there are “things under consideration” in which the Raptors would net some assets from Bosh’s departure.

The best move sometimes, is not make a move
