    Eh?

Doesn't he wait for stuff from Woj and then post it right away on his feed?

He was Cuban's mouthpiece for ESPN.

Collin Cowherd mentions something vaguely about Woj's career, says something is happening but wouldn't say anything specific

That's surprising. He's (he had) been there for awhile.

No doubt ESPN is purging most of their NBA talent to make money for Woj's monster contract.

No. Youre confusing him with someone else. Maybe Broussard.

I thought Cuban smacked Broussard down.

    Henry Abbot too.

True hoop podcast halted, something I actually enjoyed.

    Shocking.

I'm serious. That was Watkins territory's new by line. So it could be 15 year olds in a dark dungeon in Kazikstan.

Roughly how much do these guys get paid? 6 figures? 7 figures? I have no clue on average.

The thing that's going to be fascinating to watch is how much Yahoo re-invests. In general, they've done really quality journalism over the years, but there have been rumors about Woj not being satisfied with the level of resources.

On paper, Yahoo should be flush with cash to try and scoop of some of these reporters, especially because Woj/ESPN will likely have to pay buyout money to get him out of his existing deal. But the flip side is... if you lose Woj, any replacement would look like a cheap imitation by comparison. So that's why I wonder if they'd actually try to hire a "Woj lite" system, or if maybe they'll rebrand and try to make themselves more about analysis/opinion than breaking news. It's going to be really interesting to watch unfold.

Of course, all of this is assuming that the Woj/ESPN reports are true. But I think they are. If Stein is out, ESPN has a gaping hole in actual news coverage... Shelburne and Windhorst are good reporters, but they're generally regional in terms of their areas of expertise. Stein was by far the most broad-based in terms of his network of good contacts. I would think they're replacing that, because regardless of cord-cutting, there's absolutely a market for unique content like top-of-the-line breaking news reporters for the NBA.

Who is going to give us second by second Warriors updates now?

Good reporter though, he'll find something quickly I imagine.

    forget about her.
They kept Amin the troll. Who contributes nothing except fighting fans on twitter and then laughing about it on air.

If woj goes to espn, I guess we won't learn the picks earlier anymore. No more wojbombs during the draft.
I hope Stein wherever he ends up, starts spoiling them.
