    An original!

Just on the Gasol....hey yeah, in fact, I think you all just changed my mind. Lets bring In Bosh and add him to Kobe Bryant and we'll have Phil Jackson coaching him and...oh wait, this isn't the Lakers is it.

Gasol is soft and the fact is that he would have never done anything on his own. He is not a franchise players.

Gasol went to an already very good team with a great coach and a player in Bryant who is a killer. You could put a number of soft, non winners in a Bryant led team and Kobe would drag them kicking and screaming to wins.

    We dont have that.

If we get Bosh we will be expecting him to take us to the next level. We have a perfect set of hard workers and players would would be the perfect compliment to a player who can be a leader and take their own game to the next level.

I look at Bosh and I don't that player. I see a guy that will probably go to a number of teams and get nice looking stats, but not a go to guy when the pressure is on. Not a guy who will take on that true leadership role, who will enjoy the added pressure and who will grow from the player they are today.

The lakers weren't contenders before Gasol. Post Gasol, they've been to the finals twice and have won a championship. You can definitely tell that the lakers are struggling now without him. the difference between a Gasol-less lakers and a lakers team with Gasol is pretty much night and day.

As an offsider to a real franchise player, he is a very handy player. As Bosh would be I'm sure.

However we have people looking to invest a whole lot of money on a similar player, to come to our team and be our franchise player. Yeah, we have Yao, but who knows what happens with his career.

Do we really want someone like Bosh as our go to star, a big contract locked in for years when he hasn't proven he can really be a winner and when he is compared to Gasol....who was a very handy player when he finally had Kobe Bryan, Phil Jackson and all the other Lakers talent around him?

I'm looking at a league with a bunch of guys that put up nice stats, who in average teams are without doubt the best players on their teams.

But then you have the out and out winners. True franchise players you really can build a team around. There are not many of those players, but THOSE are the guys you pay big contracts to and lock them in for years on end.

We've just come to the end of being burned by one of these pretenders. I'd rather see the Rockets go for a couple of solid players and try and build a good all round team then sell the farm for another pretend superstar.

I agree that Bosh shouldn't be the number1 go-to-guy, however, it takes time to build a team, and you can't get Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade and Pau Gasol as fast as fast eddy. You need to build it step by step, and acquiring Bosh would be a first step to building a new franchise back and leaving the tmac-yao era.
I love Landry, but i'd be ready to give him up, i'd be reluctant to send out Brooks though who is younger and has more potential.

I can see your point there.

I just dont like going into another "He has great stats but hasnt had the team mates and just needs the right situation" scenario after just ditching Mr December.
