Definitely would be bittersweet to break up the ScoLandry duo.

The interesting part of the article is the mention of trying to do it without including McGrady. What other pieces would the Raptors want from us? Including Brooks is a steep price, and really, not worth it.

Just think though of landing Bosh, and still having McGrady's contract to play with it...

Bosh and Yao as a starting front court would match up great against the Lakers. Morey knows the road to a ring goes thru LA.

btw, it is impossible for Toronto to trade Bosh for Scola. Both Bosh and Scola are expiring contracts.

This is telling... Then McGrady would be moved for another piece to the puzzle.

And we could resign him because bird rights are also traded, right?

They want Landry yes. But if their future wish Bosh looks bleak, they may look to the highest bidder. They love foreign players... maybe the settle for DA, Newly, cap relief, and 2 1st rd picks... See Lakers, see how you have me thinking! The Gasol steal has clouded my mind.

you are wrong. They can be traded for one another if Houston adds enough salary to match the difference between Bosh and Scola's contracts

Who to give up Scola or Landry? I think TOR rather have Scola so he could join their International Regime.

He's as good as gone. Thing is if they wait for a sign and trade, who's really going to trade for him, as, teams are trying to get under the cap for guys like Bosh, Lebron, Wade, etc. Teams can sign him outright.

Of course Bosh would make more through a sign and trade, but the Raps would still be on the hook for fixed amount as they need to get matching salaries back.

Trading him now for Houston's pieces would be a good move on their part IMO. Who's giving up a player better than Scola or Landry through sign and trade?

A sign and trade could give us some options I'd think, with Bosh and Scola both being the willing parties initially. I wonder what other piece they'd ask for? Scola + Brooks / Lowry / Battier / Ariza ? In any case it'd give us more options since we cant go and sign Bosh outright.

Yup, you're talkin potentially adding a top wing to run with Yao, Bosh and Ariza. Seems like building a specific Lakers killer team to me.

The article says young talent. That would be Landry and possibly Budinger.

Landry's inside scoring is exactly what the Raptors need next to Bargnani.

Unfortunately, neither DA nor Newley have the potential to be Marc Gasol-esque.

Yeah they have Amir as their backup PF so Scola would have to be the guy. Landry wouldn't fit.

I wouldn't mind as long as Bosh signs on the line which is dotted.

Let's say you traded Landry, Budinger, Battier, and Cook for Bosh. Would you have enough cap space next year to re-sign Bosh and either James or Wade?
