No gm in entire nba would rather have kyle lowry than deron williams, deron williams would attract howard to come to houston, maybe lowry and martin and houston 2012 first round for williams sss

I can't tell if you're severely challenged or joking.

PF: Sheldon Williams - Kris Humphries
SF: Damion Jones - Shawne Williams
SG: Anthony Morrow - DeShawn Stevenson
C: Mehmet Okur - Jordan Williams

Those players wouldn't crack 5 minutes a game even on the Rockets.

    Perfect.

Dwight Howard would go to several different cities to play with Williams, he hasn't mentioned/thought/looked into/given a flying crap about the Rockets and Lowry.

    /thread.

D Will always beats Paul h2h though, probably not as consistent over an 82 game series, but seriously, if you had Howard and Williams, the regular season is just the warm up.

skill wise? da fug are you talking about. If we took pay out of this converse, 97/100 times Deron would be picked first over Lowry, with the other 3 being fan-tism choices

Paul, Rose (obviously) - both of these guys are on a separate tier.

Nash, Rondo, Lowry all having better seasons, actually so is Ty Lawson, though mostly becuase of his super-high shooting %.

ANd of course, Oscar Robertson/Isiah Thomas/Magic Johnson/Larry Bird rubio is probably ranked ahead of him by you..so....

OK, this is attempt number two: Points and assists alone aren't really that great metrics - Did you have trouble with multivariable equations? Because you seem to wedded to two of them and find the rest of them strange and unfathomable.

Likewise -It's utterly irrelevant what Williams did 4 years ago with the Jazz vs. what Lowry did with the Grizzlies to the context of who's a better player today. They're at the same level now, and going forward, and that's what matters, unless you're conducting a hall of fame vote.

It's so sad that we live in an era where people lack perspective and the ability to make meaningful conclusions based on data.

One group says a guy is the best PG in the league while he's posting up mediocre stats, another group looks at stats and deduces that he is the level of player with his current stats. But, i guess people did the same thing with Steve Nash. Deron Williams has miraculously gone from a superstar to just a good player, instead of the reverse, just because he changed teams.

A much more logical assumption is that he's somewhere in-between. The Sloan system was great for a guy with Deron's skills and toughness. Unless he goes to a PG-centric offense he probably won't put up the same numbers but the talent hasn't disappeared. IMO, Chris Paul has always been the best PG but Deron will come around when he's in a more stable situation.

The best test is the eyeball test, because stats can't measure leadership and tempo management. In my opinion, it goes something like this...

    1. Chris Paul
    2. Derrick Rose
    3. Kyle Lowry
    4. Deron Williams
    5. Russell Westbrook
    -------------------------

    You can't mess with the

    18 PPG
    9 APG
    7 RPG
    2 SPG
    44% FG
    42% 3FG
    90% FT

To go with his defense and leadership qualities.

Kyle Lowry, Chris Paul and Derrick Rose are in a whole different stratosphere than the rest of the league at the moment... If only we could get Kyle Lowry a couple dominant bigs like the Bulls and the Clippers have...

That would be freaking AWESOME, because Deron is totally big enough to play the SG...
I doubt it would be possible to get Deron without giving up Lowry, though.

    1. Kyle Lowry
    2. Deron Williams
    3.
    4.
    5. Dwight Howard

Do not want. Not at his salary, not his attitude.

Bigs change franchises into contenders, not PGs. At his salary, Lowry's a much better value.

Lowry is definitely the problem....we should get rid of him. If only we had a superstar PG then all of our other starters would instantly become talented, coveted players that are definitely not just role players................................................

People arguing that Dwill would attract Howard: according to the source, the only way NJ trades Dwill is if Howard goes somewhere else first. This means if we get Dwill, we wont get Howard because he's in LA or Dallas.
