I had thought his AAU team just came down to Houston for a tournament when CP3 came to watch them, but I think GCBC is actually a Houston AAU team...interesting

Yea they were just down there.... they’ll be down there again in a couple weeks. With the money and sponsorships blue chips has it doesn’t matter where bron lives. He’ll play the games he can get to. And like I said before if he wants to switch to Houston hoops he’d be good. They’re Nike/EYBL just like CP3 elite(who’s #5 in the nation btw)

It looks like Bronny’s team just came to Houston for a tournament, but the younger son does actually play for GCBC.

This is a huge discovery honestly.

LeBron said he is gonna consult his family before making the decision, well part of his family already has significant ties to Houston and most likely has friends here due to his AAU team.

I think it is two sons and one daughter.

Both sons were already discussed and the daughter is the youngest so who knows where she stands.

    https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...ng-Family-Championship-Contention-In-Decision

"The one thing that I've always done is considered, obviously, my family. Understanding especially where my boys are at this point in their age. They were a lot younger the last time I made a decision like this four years ago. I've got a teenage boy, a pre-teen and a little girl that wasn't around as well. So sitting down and considering everything, my family is a huge part of whatever I'll decide to do in my career, and it will continue to be that. So I don't have an answer for you right now as far as that."

James also talked about how he wants to continue contending for a championship.

"I mean, for me, I still have so much to give to the game. Like I said, when you have a goal and you're able to accomplish that goal, it actually -- for me personally, it made me even more hungry to continue to try to win championships, and I still want to be in championship mode. I think I've shown this year why I will still continue to be in championship mode."

James also revealed that he felt like his decision in 2010 to leave Cleveland was more challenging than returning home in 2014 and more so than he anticipates this offseason.

    Family considerations

James' oldest son, Bronny, is 13. His younger son, Bryce, will turn 11 next week. They will be able to voice their feelings on the decision this time. They have spent time in Miami and Akron and even Los Angeles in the summers. Bronny is a standout basketball player who has a chance at an NBA future, and his development and comfort through his teen years, of course, is important.

James' wife, Savannah, was already a driving force in 2014 when James came home to Akron. James loves watching his sons play basketball.

It's hard to see him being apart from his family, which includes 3-year-old daughter Zhuri, at this stage of his life. In 2010, he left Savannah and his young sons in Ohio when he first moved to Miami. Now, where they want to live is a deeper factor.

The family angle will be overblown.

If anything, his kids wants him to beat this Gs team. Bron’s last title was at 30 years old. He’s at risk of never winning one again

    Bron to Houston.

I think Lebron Jr aka Bronny's best friend is Zaire Wade.

    Amick:

James has until June 29 to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers – which he is expected to do – and become a free agent.

Another consideration: There are three teams with realistic salary cap space to sign James in free agency: Cleveland, Philadelphia and Los Angeles Lakers. Any other team will have to commit extreme salary cap gymnastics or convince the Cavaliers a sign-and-trade is worth their while.

Here are some teams that James may consider:
    • Cleveland
    • Philadelphia
    • New York
    • Miami
    • Los Angeles Lakers
Behold the most compelling landing spot of them all. In terms of market appeal, none of these teams can compete with Laker Land. But if LeBron is going to partner with Magic Johnson to turn this storied franchise around, he simply must find a way to bring two fellow All-Stars with him.

Is that Paul George, the Palmdale, Calif. native who is also a free agent and who is widely known to have serious interest in playing for his home region’s team? Is it Kawhi Leonard, whose future with San Antonio remains unknown and who could be traded this summer? Is it Paul, who is widely believed to be committed to re-signing in Houston but who has the freedom to join James with the Lakers?

James can’t head West unless he truly knows that his roster is good enough to compete with the Warriors. And that, more than anything, is why the superstar shuffle board will loom so large.
    • Houston
So here’s the key question when it comes to the Rockets and their place in this race: Is there any way that Chris Paul takes anything less than the five-year, $205 million deal that he has planned on landing since forcing his way out of Los Angeles a year ago? The Rockets will likely need that kind of concession if they’re going to somehow find a way of landing James, and only he knows if the prospect of playing with James is enticing enough to leave money on the table.

The Rockets possibility is even more appealing after Houston pushed the Warriors to seven games in the Western Conference finals, and James is known to have serious interest in playing with Paul (and vice versa, of course). But this would require some extremely heavy lifting from general manager Daryl Morey, whose team would likely have to shed the contracts of Ryan Anderson (two years, $41 million combined remaining) and Eric Gordon (two years, $27 million combined) to make room for James. If James is willing to be the one who concedes, he could opt in for next season on his current contract (approximately $35 million) and force a trade, a la Paul last summer, as a way of making Morey’s job easier.
    • San Antonio
When James spoke during the Finals about how basketball IQ mattered so much in his thought process, he may as well have mentioned the Spurs by name. Coach Gregg Popovich is known to be one of his favorites, and the reality is that – from an Xs and Os standpoint – the Spurs are as good a destination as any. Still, this potential landing spot is seen as unlikely when it comes to these candidates.

Where's he gonna go? Field or Cleveland?

If I had to bet whether or not he'd be in Cleveland next year, I'd bet elsewhere. If I had to bet which team had the best chance to get him, I'd say the Cavs. Chris Paul is a free agent. He doesn't have to re-sign in Houston. I expect him to. We still have coaching openings. Jimmy Butler got traded on draft night last year.

Do you expect it to be a prolonged decision?

    One of two ways:
    1) He'll pick up his option but he won't pick it up to stay. If he stays, he'll just do a new deal to give himself maximum flexibility. If he picks it up, it's to force a trade. Cavs will do business on a trade. They're not taking back Ryan Anderson. ... That'll happen by the end of the month or
    2) It could be protracted & do what he did before which is go to the Caribbean or whatever & be out of the way.

    ______________

Strong possibility...there isn't one player guaranteed to be back on that [Cavs] roster.

Cavs path if he leaves (not via trade or opt-in)? They start over. They fully make Kevin Love available. They'd look for a first round pick. They won't want to take on money. Korver would be available. George Hill is a buyout candidate. He may be able to secure MLE somewhere.

(If he leaves & they start from scratch, do the Cavs become a Midwestern small market team that won't be a destination?) Dan Gilbert believes he can build a championship team without LeBron & is looking forward to trying. I don't think he wants it to be next year but he would like to make a run at it. He had 4 years before where they had incredible lottery luck & were no closer to the playoffs after LeBron left. That was then, this is now. I believe Dan Gilbert will have a huge influence on who they pick 8th.

I trust in Morey...just don't see how any team is gonna take Anderson on for us. We'll see.
