What if Silver throws a huge wrench in the finals by helping LeBron win a 4th ring and adding more drama to the Cavs vs. GSW rivalry narrative.

Could rival Lakers vs. Celts of the 80's.

It would take a fixing job of epic proportions to make up for the talent disparity between the two teams. I, for one, will not be watching either way. Wake me up when the Finals are over, and we can start with free agency and trade rumblings.

Exactly. I’ve never watched when the Rockets are out. The silver lining in losing this late in the year is the short time between season’s end and the offseason. Offseasons are my drug. I’m gonna need to seek help in the coming months.

Like it but may need entirely new role players at vet min.

Unless Ariza gives Rockets home town discount unsure how to retain him if Rockets have to max CP3, Capela and LeBron.

And if SnT, Tucker might have to be part of trade package. EGo and Tuck are Rockets most valuable trade commodities right now.

I think Tucker is our Draymond, and our Draymond stopper. Not sure we can afford to let him go.

If we had to pick.... even though it would break my heart.... i would trade EG before Tucker.

Tucker is tooooooo valuable for this team.

I dont want EG to go either.... hopefully we find a way.

PJ is signed for a measly $8 mil per for 3 more years and for the value he brings to this team he isn't going anywhere. he didnt come here at a discount to play for 1 season

I know there are a lot of factors and motivations for LeBron in deciding what to do.

But, as a competitor, I would have to think at least ONE of those is liking the idea to STICK IT TO THE WARRIORS (and Curry), a team that will end up beating LeBron 3 out of 4 times in the finals. I have to think LeBron wanting to kick the $hit out of the warriors would be an itch he would really want to scratch.

Tucker played better in the playoffs as the pressure got higher. Rockets need to hang onto guys like that if at all possible.

Unless he's gonna assign hatchet men to officiate every game in favor of the Cavs, that simply can't happen. I do expect some favorable crews dispatched to Cleveland for Game 3 if the Warriors get off to an easy 2-0 lead. But this is a series that cannot be rigged for the Cavs. The talent disparity is too big and the home court advantage for the Warriors is too much to overcome. I think the biggest suspense is if the games will be competitive at all and if Cleveland can push Golden State to 5. It would take a major injury for the Cavs to have a shot at this. And I don't mean Iggy. I mean Durant or Curry.

But just to entertain the hypothetical, if the Cavs pull off the shocker and win the title, then call off the regular season and first 3 rounds of the playoffs next year. Silver and the NBA will find a way to make sure these two teams face off yet again to break the 2-2 tie.

It would take a lot more than that. Try 4 Future first round picks and the option of swapping pick in every other year, and Cleveland might consider it.

As a Rocket fan I would still do it. A couple rings is worth suffering for a few seasons.

based on? his role is to play defense and hit open 3's. that doesn't decline in a year time span. hou doesn't rely on him to do anything based solely on skill such as handling the ball or breaking defenses down or even quickness for that matter

    It was 185.

225? That would include a lot more players than Durant.

Oh geez - that's even worse, lol. I probably thought it was 225 because that is what they do at the NFL combine.

Why? His game isn't really reliant on athleticism. I think he had more dunks in the playoffs than the entire regular season. Plus look at his durability. The dude has missed I think 10 games in his entire NBA career. What we need is a backup 4 though so he doesn't have to play heavy minutes. Ryno is a goner and he was actually the starter for most of the season, so he'll need to be replaced.
