I think we're not panicking because we've only heard a quote from Dwight, and we don't quite understand how he went from playing great to hit in Memphis to "bone rubbing on bone". And he's also looking to come back on Saturday. I'm concerned, but I'd like to hear more on this besides just this quote. However, this certainly makes all those who insisted Dwight was sitting for legal issues look silly.
Clowney had this issue and had season ending micro fracture. Kidd, Amare, Penny, mcgrady , and a few others had it I think.
So how does he make it "go away" and "prevent it from happening again"? Sounds like we're not the only ones in denial?
lol You can't get rid of 'bone on bone' so I am hoping he was misquoted. If not then we need to start looking for a Center.
Roy also had a lot of really ****ty surgeries done. This Dwight quote is pretty worrisome though. Bone on bone = microfracture candidate
So why didn't Rockets management see this coming? Why didn't they lock down Asik at center and pursued someone else besides Dwight Howard?
Not sure if Dwight might just be referring to the normal joint wear that would occur with any athlete, but is just being loose with his terminology. That being said, if it turns out that his knees are shot, the Rockets decision to go with him instead of sticking with Asik (and using the Cap space on depth) will haunt this team.
If we Morey plays his cards right I think Detroit is on dial up so we can trade Howard for Drummed and assets before the news spreads. For real thou this majorly sucks
These are my first thoughts as well. He also stated no one from the organization has explained the knee condition to him but they know exactly what it is. It sounds to me like he is confused and diagnosed himself based on questionable information.
I hear what you are saying Clutch. Still doesn't make me feel better though.... If true, Im convinced we are cursed. #DreamCurse
