Re: radio discussion this morning on Gasol injury. 1. I *do* sense it's fairly serious, certainly not back this season and I'm not sure if training camp return is really a certainty. 2. That said, I don't sense (rightly or wrongly) great pessimism about the long-term prognosis. 3. Also don't sense that anything about Gasol changes team's approach to Conley. (Does it change Conley's approach? No idea.) — Chris Herrington
Would you trade Howard for Gasol? If this season is over, and we don't anticipate DH returning to Hou....why not? Gets us a top center going forward who can do much of what DH does, plus can score and be a leader.

I would feel much worse for Grizzlies fans if "What" wasn't constantly acting like a douche around here.
Bad injury for Gasol. that sucks. The Grizz would be wise to take their time in his recovery. Over-estimate the time. This injury could impact things for the Grizz for next season as well. Gasol can come back from this, but they should be cautious.
And now Gasol's backup is out. Likely for the rest of the season.

Grizzlies say forward-center Brandan Wright has a right knee MCL sprain and will be out indefinitely, but no surgery will be required.
— Marc J.
