At this stage of his career, what can Marc Gasol bring to the table that Sengun can't/won't? I rather throw Sengun out there and get him the minutes to absorb NBA basketball than to cut into his minutes for Gasol.
If the Lakers, a contender hoarding all washed-up vets like crazy, don't even want him, not sure why a rebuilding team would want him.
I replied before seeing your post; and, as a broken down old f*rt, I was referencing Ricky Ricardo and Lucy (Nee) Magillicutty (sp?). It would have been beyond my meagerest of talents to have given the OP a straight riposte.
He is available he is just staying in Spain to start the season. This young team needs mentors to show them how to be professionals - this is not a 36mpg game, but a backup that can still play and provide knowledge and leadership - we don't need a team of only 20 somethings....I want some veterans to accelerate the learning curve of the young bloods. This is what he is for.......we need a couple old farts to help the young bucks. Some of us think deeper about things than others - it is easy to knee jerk this and think folks want him as a main contributor, but that is not what he is about for this team. He would be a good example of how to be a professional and help the young Turk in the transition to the NBA. DD
