Word... Having Bowen in the game is like playing 4 on 5 when we have the ball. He isnt even close to mediocre at anything pertaining to offense. I for one will miss Padgett I think if he wanted to play and have a shot at a ring he shouldve went to Miami though, but w/e its all spilled milk now.
The writing was on the wall after Padgett choked miserably in the playoffs. He was constantly missing defensive assignments and boxouts, blowing layups, and looking like a deer caught in headlights. I'm glad we kept Bowen instead.
Nice guy. I won't miss him at all. He hit a lucky game winner in New York but he also air-balled another last second 3 pointer later in the year. He should get plenty of 3 point attempts at garbage time in Phoenix.

If Kemp is an 75+% shadow of his former self that would be a good move. We could probably afford both of them, however. I'd kinda like a younger PF and Lonnie sounds pretty good if he passes traing camp. He can take Braggs' place on the bench. Sidebar: Does anyone think we might pickup Travis Hansen instead of Jon Barry to save a Mil or so and go younger. I've heard he is an awfully good 6'6" shoot-from-anywhere/slasher.
Voskahl is an unofficial lux tax causality. That move might have saved 4 mill or more. I suspect Padget is a multi-year deal for the min, doesn't count towards the lux tax. I think he can get more PT in Phx than Houston, Houston is deeper with bigs. I don't think he makes more money, just more years secured. I would rather keep Lon, so I hope so. I'd say the key to Lon's chances is waiving Spoon with the lux tax thing. Waving Ward too wouldn't hurt.
I think the reason they had to let Voskhul goes was to clear up some money for Joe Johnson. Padgett probably was reasonably cheap, Houston just had NO need for him.
