From a psycological perspective, By taunting and saying those remarks, Marbury is bringing attention to him, in an onconsious way, he's hurt and is screaming for help. Well not screaming but you get the picture. I think I would be hurt to if i was not in the all-star game, and i felt as if i deserved it. But he needs to realise that not everything will go your way in life. From a basketball standpoint..as some one said earlier that was just class-less imaturity. Go see a psyciatrist for your problems, dont disclose it out on the court to other players. Oh and i think Yao will bring it to Shaq tonight. Shaq will not be able to stop his shooting and passing. Cant wait for the game...
As the NBA starts recruiting players younger and younger, with little or no college experience, or directly from high-school, what do you expect? They sound very much like arrogant kids in their 20's (only compounded because they have fame and fortune). Honestly, to hear Yao's commentary, it's very refreshing to hear a 22 year old speak with dignity. Hey - there's a word that's been lost in the NBA. Dignity. Not a whole lot of that on the court nowadays. -- droxford
Okay - as I re-think about that last post I made, In truth, there are quite a few younger players who aren't as 'animated'. I guess the Marbury's of the NBA just get to me 'cause they're more vocal and, thus, more annoying. -- droxford
Dude...I'm guessing you didn't see him on the bench last year during a Lakers game (when he was on the IR). The brotha was ****ing blinding! He had a stark white outfit on, very baggy, and a huge plat cross. It was working, just all I'm saying. It was working. And...why it makes me laugh - I grew up in DC (not Maryland). Everybody in the city was in for the hot threads. We viewed the suburbs at Dorkville. Then I moved to Houston and finished High school in Katy. I got a taste of going to school with people that lived on farms and 5 acre estates... And exactly where did I say I wanted to trade Francis for Marbury? Chill the hell out, man.
