And please guys, let's ditch the "he will kill our chemistry" argument. If he acts up you can ship his butt out. It's not that hard to cut him, assuming you sign him to some minimum type 1 yr deal or something.

Now if you want to argue along the lines of he will take Brooks minutes and stunt his development or something...then that's fine. But I doubt our chemistry would be out the window because Steph acted an azz for a few weeks before he got dumped.

As far as why would any team want him....I think teams with starting PG's that can't shoot would be interested.....

Yes, at least Marbury is right this time. I heard from ESPN that the coach was so upset because Marbury was not doing any negative things during this time, the coach really wants him to do something stupid, then gets rid of him, but Marbury does not buy it.

I completely agree don't believe everything you hear and see in the media. They are built to side with corporations not individuals. They left Marbury hanging early in the season and D'Antoni gave him a clear F U at the beginning of the season. So when Marbury gave him the F U right back when they needed him, he is all of a sudden getting the worst of it.

D'Antoni instigated the situation from the beginning without even giving him a shot. And now its coming back to him.

I never said he wasn't an azz. but the point is Q-Rich wasn't concerned then so don't come with all that "my teammate" crap now.

So how many years does he have to be a cancer in the league and how many times does he have to prove he ruins teams before it becomes an exceptable argument?

I'm guessing that he will never again be welcome in Minn, Toronto, New Jersey, Phoenix or New York...and for good reason. What makes you think he would not come to Houston and be the same team cancer that he has always been.

There is a reason why he is a nomad and has only been on a team that has made the play-offs twice since he left Kevin Garnett (because he did not want to share the spot light) and the T-Pups in 98.

In terms of intelligence, Marbury makes Carmelo Anthony look like Shane Battier.

And why did NY stupidly bring him back this season? What were they thinking?

What do you mean bring him back? It's not like he was a free agent that they re-signed. Right now their choices are to waive him, buy him out, or trade him.

Again, if he is signed on a 1 yr deal, or some kinda deal where you can get a test run and cut him if he acts up....then where is the risk? If he turns into a cancer...can you not dump him? Where is the risk?

If Karl Malone was available to the Rockets (instead of signing with the Lakers), would you sign him?

I wouldn't, even though he probably would be able to help the team. I just cannot cheer for the guy. If he was on my team, my soul would be split into two halves.

to win a championship?? I would sign hornacek, malone, and stockton and any of the players i hate with a passion if i thought it would win us a championship.

i loathe marbury but im not going to be blind to his talent. he has mad shooting range can hit from anywhere half court and in. he can pass when he chooses to (operative phrase WHEN HE CHOOSES TO). and he has mad handles. we dont have to worry about him turning the ball over.

of course this is all assuming he listens and plays smart (which he hasnt exactly been doing his whole career), but hey. if he is cheap and available wtf do we have to lose?
