Random freaky fact:

Did you know the song Doctor Robert was pened about German Physician Dr. Robert Freymann of NYC, who would write scripts for whatever perscription you could think of (dexadrine, hydrocodone, etc.) for anybody who walked in the door?

Wasn't the story that he had gone to the house to murder Terry Melcher-- a Beach Boys producer who had promised Manson a record deal and then backed away?

This is an EXCELLENT account of the Manson family murders, and the trial.

Terry Melcher had been approached by Manson about his music. Charles wanted Melcher to sign him to a record deal, and invited him out to the Spahn ranch to hear Manson play. Terry listened, but wasn't impressed. Charles was furious. The murders occurred a few years after this event(I think). Melcher moved from his house, and Sharon Tate's family moved in. Near the night of the murders, Manson went by the former house to speak to Melcher, but the family informed him that Melcher had moved. They were very abrasive with him, and that could have been part of the motivation for the murders because Charles was very pissed at the Tate/Polanski family for their "rudeness" as he saw it. Manson REALLY wanted to get Melcher, and it's also thought that by killing the people at Melcher's former residence, he wanted to scare the crap of Melcher, and warn him that he was next.

That's kindof part of the story in a VERY small nutshell. Read that story I posted above, it was VERY interesting. The one on Jeffrey Dahmer was also interesting. Disgusting as hell, but interesting because I didn't know much about his story.

More freaky "stuff". My recollection is that Terry Melcher is/was the son of actress Doris Day.
