for the first time that I remember, DLH's pretty face got beat up. He always comes out of fights looking the same.

    best quote of the night

    "Paquaio reconfiguring Oscar's face"

    classic stuff

really, why the hell was Manny the underdog? that just puzzles me at the moment, that was easy money, but swore off sports betting, temporarily

I don't think anyone expected DLH to show up at 147. People were thinking DLH would come in at 160, but it just looks like father time has caught up with DLH.

The only fight Manny can take that will manage to add to his legacy, at this point.

even at 160, i think pac-man would've won. he was connecting at about 60% while DLH at around 20%.

Oscar just looked old, I don't think anyone expected the rapid deterioration that happened. If the Oscar that fought Floyd showed up it would have been a lot closer.

    Oscar just needs to retire.

either that or if somehow he fights Margarito. im sure for the right price he'll stay at welterweight.

hatton will look nice on his resume.

:( Sad , hats off to the pacman for his heart and will he put on this fight. De La Hoya dissapointed me tonight, this is what happens when u let old guys train you in a new boxing world.

BTW Pacman is one of my favs in my top 5 so its good to see him win. ;)

I was wrong!!!!! I had always loved the way Manny fought but I thought he was too small for Oscar but Del La Hoya at 147 the night of the fight?...Either way Pacman was too quick with his left anyway.

I want to see Pacman vs Hatton or Floyd Mayweather Jr.

De La Hoya proves again to be the most overrated fighter of all time. The guy has lost or should have lost every big fight he's ever been in.

    Sweet Pea
    Quartey
    Trinidad
    Mosley
    Hopkins
    Mayweather

DLH makes you appreciate Bernard Hopkins a little more. Call Bhop boring if you want. i know i have, but damn you gotta appreciate what he's doing at his age.

Man that was just absolute destruction. That was really sad to watch the way Oscar was just getting pounded with zero response.

Manny vs Floyd would be a dream fight, but I just don't see Floyd coming back at this point. I hope I'm wrong.
