Alex Smith is looking for a 5-yr deal - I don't think he'll get it from Miami.

Kaepernick is nowhere close to being ready. Big arm, but still very raw.

I could see Tebow going to Miami now in a trade with the Broncos.
Florida connection and all for Tebow...
I think Alex Smith stays put with the 49ers.

He's gonna sign with the 49ers now that Peyton is gone. Just a ploy to increase his value, really why would he leave his first taste of success to go to Miami. Interesting he has the same agent as Peyton, maybe his agent know Peyton was going to Denver and all this was sham.

The schedule will face one of the toughest schedules next year.

I think he chose the Broncos b/c:
    1) AFC
    2) He'll have the most freedom offensively there (Fox is a defensive-minded coach, and Elway will give him ample control over the offense)
    3) Great defense/young
    4) He will compete with his little brother in the NFC

I think Smith kisses and makes up with the 49ers too.

Miami, other than the opportunity to sell tickets, makes little sense for Tebow, though.

The new offensive staff came straight from Green Bay, a system that Tebow has zero chance of being able to run effectively.

The Jaguars aren't much of a better fit, but they have a staff that would probably be more receptive to making it work. Plus Jacksonville is Tebow's wheelhouse. He owns that stadium even more than he does Miami.

Yeah, Miami tried the Wildcat already and it got a ton of people fired.

Maybe the Jets should sign him #TeamOfUltimateHype.

Not an easier road but he still would have had a far far superior team in SF. A team which which could compete with the best of them (probably better than the best of them with Manning). Whatever, guess he just didn't want that pressure. What a loser.

Whatever. Still a great team with or without Peyton.

You know who I think Miami is going to end up with?

    Garrard, David.

    McNabb, Donovan.

    Or...

    wait for it...

    Young, Vince.

I'm surprised they are trading Tebow. I thought it would be good to have Tebow learn from Manning, and to have Tebow as a backup for when Manning gets hurt. I suspect that Elway and Denver really don't see Tebow has a real NFL QB and this is a good excuse to get rid of him. It will be interesting to see what Denver can get for Tebow.

    Your butt-hurt is most illogical.

Peyton can win in Denver just as much as he can in SF.

In fact, I'll bet you Denver wins more games than SF this year. Deal?

I would have to imagine it's still in-progress, though - how many weeks ago was it that he couldn't even throw 25 yards? I think they're taking a gamble on him. I've yet to hear anyone contend that the nerve has fully regenerated.

BTW, for those hoping the Texans would get involved - 5 years, $95MM is the rumored deal. Houston - even if wildly interested - never had a chance.

There's always the possibility that Miami will bring back the Bush Push and sign Matt Leinart.

I dunno. I'm not good at thinking up this kind of stuff.

10 bucks in the tippy tip tip jar?

    I want a caveat, though.

If Manning misses any starts because of his neck, the bet is off.

    Cool?
