mcnair needs to learn from irsay that he (mcnair) doesn't owe schaub anything. manning was a 14 year sb winning colt and irsay still cut him. do whatever you think it takes to win a sb. if you don't sign manning it must be because manning wasn't interested or you have reasons to think it does not better your chances at a sb. Bottom line the reason for not signing manning should not be loyalty to schaub.
Its certainly a point worth making, but when you factor in the money and the draft pick, Matt Shaub is more valuable to us than Peyton Manning is to them.
Fixed. If Peyton signs somewhere like SF or BAL for less than $5M and the Texans didn't give a courtesy call, that would suck. But if he signs with Miami, Arizona, or KC for over $10M....I wouldn't be upset with our FO. ...And SF is reportedly not interested.

Them Harbaughs don't like compromising on offense brah. Well, actually, the one in SF in particular. I can't imagine him bowing down to Manning on anything. Cant see it the opposite way either.
not everyone. tons of people from this thread that have gone into hiding now that national media has jumped on the idea, and now that they see his career isn't over and he's playing, unlike their misguided assumptions led them to be certain of. they are just crossing their fingers hoping that we don't sign him so they can hop back in and say "i told you so". such a no-brainer that we should sign him. sad that we may not even give him a sniff. hope schaub can handle the added pressure that this will put on him.
Peyton needs to go the tmac route and take low money to join a contending team like Houston to try and get a few more rings under his belt. Not that TMac has any rings but you get the jist lol
I really do think the Texans will give some thought to Peyton. When watching the pregame show from the Texans vs Colts in December, Bob Mcnair and Peyton were talking for a while on the field. Maybe Bob is interested in getting Peyton.
Sapp has loved the Texans since we clinched the division. Don't think Peyton's coming anywhere near Houston though. If he can actually throw the ball with zip then the Texans should certainly take a look. but if Peyton's still looking to get paid, forget about it.
Manning said AFC is where he liked to stay The process of elimination begins and the Texans are still alive!
