Not only do we have the best power forward duo in the NBA, relative to the cost of their contracts (along with their production and impact on the games, in my opinion), but we easily have the toughest. Both receive injuries, within days of each other, that would lay a mortal man low, yet both shrug them off and refuse to stay off the court. Folks, we haven't been this blessed at the 4 spot in, like, forever. Viva Landry!! Viva Scola!!
+10000 I'm completely with you deckard Scola/Landry or the 2 headed monster Scolandry, the best AND the toughest PF combo in the league, PERIOD.
I agree, it's great to have both of these guys on the team. Everyone enjoy the hell out of them while you can, one of them may not be with us next season.
Found this on Hoopsworld; I think I've seen parts of this posted, but not the entire article: Carl Landry Undergoes Oral Surgery Posted: 12/22/2009 6:17:00 AM Source: Jeffrey Martin of the Houston Chronicle Joking that all he wants for Christmas are his “two front teeth,” Carl Landry returned to practice Monday and pronounced himself fit enough to play tonight. In fact, Landry was incredulous when asked if he would go against the Los Angeles Clippers after damaging five of his teeth Friday night in a collision with Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki. “Why not? I'm all right,” he said. Landry endured six hours of surgery to repair his teeth. He said two were clipped at his gum line, and he has temporary fixes. He has been relegated to eating soft foods — soup, yogurt, “healthy stuff,” he said — and is not sure when he will get back to solids. “It's not going to stop me,” Landry said. “It wasn't life-threatening or anything. It was a little bit of pain. We all go through things in life where it's kind of painful. You fall, but you get back up again, and that's what I did.” His teammates weren't surprised Landry is back so soon. “He's tough,” Tracy McGrady said. “It's happened to him a couple of times — it's nothing new to him. He's just got to keep his teeth in his mouth.” Last year, Utah's Carlos Boozer knocked out one of Landry's teeth during the playoffs. Told Landry said he couldn't wait to take another charge, maybe as soon as tonight, Rockets coach Rick Adelman replied, “Well, that would be a first. That's a good sign.” http://www.***************/HeadlineStories.html
I disagree. Scola may be older, but he is showing no sign of regressing. He's still putting up 20/10 numbers, and looks like he has ALOT left in the tank. And Landry is going no where. I agree with deckard. Not only have we not been set at the 4 forever, we ARE set at the 4 forever.
No, you are not the only one... What does it mean, Mandry? Meaning he is a man? Sounds ridiculous Nick names are supposed to mean something! How about Angry? Landry the Angry hehehe... Like Hakeen the Dream, Clyde the Glide.
