larger than life individual who fought the great fight for freedom sacrificing 30 years in prison in that fight and then became president. what an incredible life story he had. rest in peace good sir
Its an irritating phenomenon in here. Someone starts thread venting of lost love one, soldier, family member, etc gets 2 pages. Someone starts thread on lost dog and the thread explodes with bleeding hearts over 50 pages. I will continue to post support in both however. I also apologize for getting off topic of this thread for what it's worth.
One of a select few that can truly say that time here on Earth truly made this planet a better place to live. Godspeed Sir. RIP
like clockwork when these things happen, Obama posts a selfie <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela. <a href="http://t.co/4qlqsXLp6e">pic.twitter.com/4qlqsXLp6e</a></p>— The White House (@WhiteHouse) <a href="https://twitter.com/WhiteHouse/statuses/408734525615640577">December 5, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
SERIOUSLY? You just felt like using the post from the White House on Mandela's passing as an opportunity to present your issues with President Obama? Dafuq is wrong with you? Just take that to D&D man, no need for that stuff in here. Come on man.
I await to read in the comments section of articles out there now or upcoming article about how "Mandela was a terrorist and Mandela was a racist." I don't like to get too involved in race talks but it's sad to me that most of those comments I hear or read are mostly from white Americans. (I know a few white South Africans might think along those lines but I mostly hear/read that from Americans). I hope that won't happen here or in articles coming out but I will bet that it will. Some people will try to find reason to discredit the man even in his passing. RIP Madiba!
R.I.P to one of the greatest men to ever live. I actually wrote an essay on him last year, focusing on how he created peace with sports. A truly amazing man that accomplished so much in his life, despite facing so much adversity. A true role model.
