POTUS is locked up....why isn't anyone talking about the Congressional races? ...that's where the budget and tax law comes from, not the Executive

Don't worry comrade cml750. As a clutchfan you will not be judged as harshly as other non-believers. Those FEMA camps are not going to run themselves you know. Maybe you could serve as a chaplain? You will learn to love the new America.
To be fair that god in those books is, quite frequently, portrayed as kind of a dumb wacko old man - not unlike a certain Presidential hopeful

Hmm... could the RNC and Trump be looking at an "exit strategy"? http://www.rawstory.com/2016/08/republicans-think-trump-might-quit-so-theyre-scrambling-to-find-a-replacement-abc-news/
When it comes to the out of control spending that more that doubled the total debt it started when the Democrats took control of the congress and the more than 1 trillion dollar per year deficits didn't end until the Republicans took back over the congress. I've criticized the Republicans for being a party that supports irresponsible spending but the Democrats are just ridiculous when they get uncle Sam's checkbook. Due to Trump, they are about to get control of that checkbook again and I don't think there's any question that they'll get the deficit back up north of 1 trillion dollars a year again. It's unfortunate that we have an irresponsible spending party and a REALLY REALLY REALLY irresponsible spending party as the only 2 major parties in the US.
And... Trump allies planning an intervention with Trump... http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/trump-allies-plot-candidate-intervention-after-disastrous-48-hours-n622216 They should televise it on TLC...
So about a year ago we were looking at a Republican Primary race in which Jeb! and Scott Walker were going to battle for the soul of the Republican Party, with Rubio as a potential compromise pick and guys like Cruz, Paul, and Huckabee hanging around hoping to influence the platform. Whoever came out of the field was probably going to be the favorite in the general, the Republican House Majority was clearly safe, and the Senate was probably going to remain Republican if they won the Presidency. Now it looks like HRC may cruise to the White House, the Senate is probably going to turn blue, and people are openly wondering if the House might as well (though it probably won't). Just how much has Donald Trump changed the direction of the GOP? Is this a temporary aberration, or are we looking at Goldwater 2.0?
He's effectively destroyed the Republican party and they deserve it for voting for him. When you nominate a guy who was a registered Democrat as recently as 8 years ago to lead your party, you are a party that deserves to die.
I don't think him being a former democrat has anything to do with why the party is going to suffer serious damage from him. None of the damage he is doing has anything to do with former/current liberal positions. He's doing damage by being: 1) Uniformed/Ignorant on major issues 2) Outrageously hostile towards everyone who doesn't see things his way 3) Racist/Xenophobic 4) Authoritarian/3rd world strong man in philosophy 5) Thin skinned 6) Dangerously simple minded on foreign policy 7) Economically r****ded 8) History of comments drenched in bigotry, sexism, misogyny and other varying degrees of insulting rhetoric None of those have anything to do with him previously being a democrat. He could be a lifelong Republican and all of the things he is doing that are causing damage would still be there. If anything they would hurt more. At least right now Republicans can still claim, successfully or not, that he "doesn't represent the GOP."
