I know this will be taken as Francis bashing but that is not the intent. Steve Francis's 1st Half vs Pacers Q1 Pass to EG - made 3 Pass to EG - missed mid range J Pass to Cato - missed drive from top of key Pass to Cato - bad lob, missed dunked Pass to Collier - good entry pass, missed shot Pass to EG - EG passed to Mobley for an assist Q2 - Started PG w/ Mobley, Hawkins, Collier, and Yao Pass Yao - Yao not deep enough in post, stripped by Foster on drive 8:23 - High PnR with Yao - injured attempting high light dunk With Francis on bench, Pacers outscore Rockets 6-4 but Norris and Mobley committed a TO each ~ 3:30 - Francis returns Pass to EG -not a good post entry pass I counted 4 assists in the half - 3 on fastbreaks (Mobley, Moochie, Hawkins) and the early 3 by Griff. I have a number of concerns but here are three: 1) SF doesn't understand the game well enough to involve other players (excluding Mobley) beyond a 2 man game. 2) SF when he does pass, doesn't get the ball to a teammate in a good shooting position (that players "sweet spot"). 3) No Rockets guard is very good at a post entry pass.
Of course. I mean, look at that one guy, that German dude, drafted #8 or #9, what was his name? Had a bad first season and was never heard from again. Dirk Now-now- um, well, I'll call him Dirk No"where", he's probably back in Germany pumping gas now...
