With each passing game, it's getting harder and harder to support Alston in the starting lineup. But then I think that there's no way Alston can shoot this poorly all season. At some point, the law of averages will kick in and his percentages should go up. The offense will start to flow better. We just need to be patient. I say we give it at least till the end of November.
He looks in shape. He can still jump and blow past people as proved in the preseason. Feigen said he had an 8-pack (not a 6-pack) He is still making his circus shots somehow.
TMac scored 7 points in about a minute: it doesn't take a long time for good things to happen. Think about it, you have seen players come off the bench ice cold and change the whole tempo of a game. Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!
Hey, whats up JVG! But you reward brick after brick and t/o after t/o by Alston with more PT Rafer bricks a 3, Memphis rebounds & on the break, chuck hayes recovers and passes to Rafer and what does he do, turns it right over.
Will you really let them rot? Seriously, if anyone, it seemed like Mike James hurt us the most tonight.
I'm not saying that Steve should play or shouldn't play, but the title of this thread makes me confused. The home crowd chanted "We want Steve." Steve's a popular guy. Conventional wisdom was that Steve would start. So..... it seems that in not playing Steve, Adelman is sticking to whatever principles he has (based on what he's seen in practice, attitude problems, or whatever, who knows)....and is MANNING UP. It'd be easier to buckle to popular sentiment and give the hometown kid his minutes. It's one thing to disagree with the coach. But the thread's title implies that Adelman is being a coward, and that's an awful big strech.
haha...congrats. you just supported an insane post! we need to play alston because of the law of averages. since he has sucked so far, that means he's definitely going to be awesome for a stretch to come. about the most ridiculously flawed stupid logic i've ever heard. i think alston is awful complete and utter worthless ****. i understand that many of you blindly support the coaches of your home teams decisions, and automatically assume they are the correct ones. i have come to accept that and that's fine. what we can all agree on is that alston is inconsistent, to say the least. the games when he's "off", he absolutely murders us, and single-handedly makes it a struggle to win games, and impossible for us to pull away from teams, as evidenced in, oh, every game this season? i was so happy to get rid of gundy, only to now find that we are stuck with a slightly better, equally stubborn version of him, with far less personality. it is definitely not too early to already be sick of this hire.
you know why you became a ROOKIE with so many posts? because most of are BS and you are just a clown pissing your tongues around.
we might have a different look in midseason its still early and if these 2 losses have everyone on edge then come 10/19 the board will be filled with fire adleman threads
It's not that we're losing...it's HOW we're losing. Make no mistake about it, we should've lost the Bobcats game. But we didn't correct our mistakes, we let it carry over to Memphis. This is the last straw. Our offense is NON-EXISTENT outside of our Big 2. Every FREAKING play involves our rosters setting up Tmac or Yao. When you don't get everyone involved, the system just crashes. Defense is slow and offense becomes predictable. Plus, we have a former All-Star rotting on the bench.
