I was looking forward to this match. i wah hoping to see how Timmy Howard would do against the gunners in a match that really matters. I was pretty psyched to hear no one scored on him. I was ready to praise his ability, and to tout his undefeated record.

but alas, he did not have to make even one save. none one single shot on goal.
oh well. al least he still gets to have the starting job

FA to study videos & referee's report

The Football Association will study referee Steve Bennett's report and video evidence before deciding whether to bring charges resulting from the 0-0 draw between Manchester United and Arsenal.

Bennett sent off Arsenal skipper Patrick Vieira and awarded United a penalty Ruud van Nistelrooy missed.

The Dutchman was surrounded by Arsenal players in a melee after the final whistle and there were reports of a bust-up in the tunnel.

The FA confirmed they had launched an 'urgent' investigation into the incidents at Old Trafford, and officials will be studying video evidence before bringing any charges against either clubs or players.

FA head of media Adrian Bevington told the FA's website: `Following yesterday's Premiership fixture between Manchester United and Arsenal, the FA can confirm it has received the report from referee Steve Bennett, as well as video tapes of the match.

`As a result, the FA will now review the video tapes in detail and as a matter of urgency. The FA have also requested further videos of the various incidents from different camera angles.

`The FA will be looking at various aspects of player behaviour during the match and in the scenes following the final whistle.

`The FA will make a further statement as soon as this process is complete.'
