I still stand by my original post that this song SUCKS.

So. Freakin. Annoying.

Overplayed. Lack of Substance.


I hate it.

Disappointed T.I. went on this...I guess he did it for money.

 

So I heard this song come on in a store. Then when the lyrics started, I realized it was Marvin Gaye's song.

 

Haha. Though I don't agree that the song sucks, I was following along with your take until the last line. lol

 

I block out the music. It's all about Emily What's-Her-Face in the video, even if she's old enough to be my illegitimate daughter.

The song is basically in the mold of "Achy Breaky Heart". People think it's catchy for awhile. Then they wake up.

I won't hate on a man who's married to Paula Patton, but won't this whole thing kinda wind down soon? The novelty's wearing thin.

Meanwhile, back to Emily C-Cup....

Ugh. You're either very young or I'm very old. Thicke has nothing on Marvin Gaye.

 

The album is actually good. Robin Thicke as always been talented and had critically acclaimed albums. I guess he finally has his pop hit now. Which is still #1

 

I just think certain artists jump on a bubblegum garbage track for money. This isn't T.I.'s type of song.

Robin THicke's first album was amazing.


I just can't help but hate this song. It makes me want to crash my car when it comes on the radio.

The fact that every mom and 5th grader sings it and loves it makes it more obnoxious.

I hope people wake up, though everyone's entitled to their own opinion of music.

Overplayed where? I never heard of this song until this thread. It only sounded vaguely familiar, perhaps from a commercial.

Maybe its because I don't listen to FM Radio, other than occasionally NPR.

 

There's your answer. This song really is overplayed on many stations bc of the crossover appeal.

I also don't get the whole "stole it from Marvin" stance. It's kind of in the same ballpark but no more or less than I would consider most songs in a particular genre.

It's not that bad of a song, especially when you compare it to all the other crap that gets to #1
