Alot of people here obviously have never rode the Metro in Houston or the Subway in NYC, or the L train in Chicago, etc. etc.

You could literally intervene with homeless mentally ill people every second of every day if you ride in public transit. It's incredibly sad but almost every time I ride I encounter someone who is homeless, mentally ill, and doing crazy stuff that looks threatening.

I went to a Texans game a few weeks back, and rode the Metro and in the span of just a trip there, and a trip home I had all of these things happen-

-Two homeless guys started screaming at each other because one looked at the other one. One of them acted like he had a gun in his pocket, and drew out the make believe gun at the other guy
-Homeless guy had a huskie that bit another guy and the guy who got bit bled all over the place. Oddly enough didn't get upset at all
-Drunk idiot was talking and then puked on the window and that ended up getting on himself

None of these incidents phased anyone on the Metro.... and that's just the Houston Metro. It's 10X as bad on the NY Subway, but people are normally just used to it, and stay in larger groups to avoid the crazies.

Yes I could see how some here might think it's a good idea to subdue a person acting crazy on the subway. However in normal every day subway life you just don't jump in to subdue someone with a choke hold unless that person literally has a weapon or has actually struck someone first. It's an indictment of subway security and the homeless crisis we are in for sure first and foremost. But this guy probably should get some sort of punishment for going over the top in a way that ended up killing the guy. I don't think it should be a murder charge, but some form of manslaughter would seem appropriate. I take it the witnesses that vouched for him though probably saved his behind from getting a manslaughter charge based on how I've seen them interviewed.

42 arrests, including three unprovoked assaults on women in the subway between 2019 and 2021, the most recent in November 2021 for slugging a 67-year-old female stranger in the face as she exited a subway station. The woman sustained a broken nose, a fractured orbital bone, and bruising, swelling and substantial pain to the back of her head.

In June 2019, Neely attacked Filemon Castillo Baltazar, 68, on the platform of the W. 4th St. Station in Greenwich Village, according to the court papers. "Out of nowhere, he punched me in the face," the victim told the New York Daily News.

One month prior, he hit a man so hard in the face that he broke his nose on the platform of the Broadway-Lafayette station.

From January 2020 to August 2021, he was arrested for public lewdness after pulling down his pants and exposing himself to a female stranger, misdemeanor assault for hitting a woman in the face.

I should use my mind reading skills to know you aren't.

I've only spent 2 weeks of my life in NYC and I've been on cars with guys like Neely. Makes you uncomfortable and you stay on high alert.

But he did have the mind reading skills to know his past history, which mind you didn't involve coming close to killing anyone ever.

Why would he need mind reading skills?

"The three main threats that he repeated over and over was, 'I'm going to kill you,' 'I'm prepared to go to jail for life,' and 'I'm willing to die,'" said Penny. "I was scared for myself, but I looked around, I saw women and children. He was yelling in their faces ... I didn't want to be put in that situation, but I couldn't just sit still and let him carry out these threats."

Didn't come close to killing anyone ever? He hit an elderly woman so hard it broke her nose, fractured her orbital bone and bruised the back of her head when she hit the concrete pavement of the subway platform. Just one of 4 women he had assaulted.

Family in these cases just show up for a pay day. Race agitators and their lawyers too.

Like they gave a **** about Neely before.

But now there's potentially millions to be made.

Obviously leftists wanted the acquittal. We know this because the right wing has told us that all NYC juries are driven by politics and incapable of fairly weighing the evidence in a court of law.

I think the jury reached the right verdict in acquitting him. He was making direct threats to other passengers. It seems reasonable to believe others were in imminent danger of being attacked. Given his mental illness it’s a sad outcome, but people have a right to protect themselves.

Derek Chauvin's case should be relooked at since the days of peak BLM insanity have come and gone. Same for the guys in Georgia protecting their neighborhood from a burglar. The days of BLM intimating juries are hopefully over. A good day for justice and a bad day for mob rule.

Institutions like the Southern Poverty Law Center and NAACP are just grifts at this point and have been for a long time.

They exist to manufacture threats so they can pretend they are fighting them and hoover up donations and make themselves wealthy.

Simply a grift. Race baiters, attorneys and dad all stand to make money.

People who wouldn’t have lifted a finger to help Neely a week before his death.

I don’t disagree with the decision and did think there was reasonable doubt in this case.
