I'm always baffled by people that freak out to the degree that several did in this video...did they seriously believe that he's like walking dead or something? I mean I can see being startled and then laughing like several did, but the girl that took off FULL TILT and stumbled in the playground sand pit and then sprinted back to the car of her friend who then TORE ASS through a residential area just confuse the hell out of me. The guy, even after the initial scare, was just standing there saying "Yahhh!"...what were they so afraid of?
If the guy was black, would the police have shot him? Actually, would the police have shot him regardless of ethnicity?
Once that intense level of flight/fight is triggered, no amount of rational thought is going to unsee something so impossibly frightening for some people, before their endocrine system releases control. The girl who burned off was pretty ridiculous though. My favorite are the ones who do seem to figure it out initially, like the two guys talking, one sitting on the bench- he seemed to see it, jump a little, realize it's a prank then recover & sit back down, only to bail after all.
